On Thurs, Jeff Dunetz, The Lid, did his usual Thursday guest gig on Mark Schaftlein on the Schaftlein Report. The Lid has the great honor to be Marks’s guest every Thursday, for those who don't know.
As usual on The Schaftlein Report. Mark and I had a great conversation on all the day’s hot news. It seems as if every time I am a guest on Mark’s show, it’s a big news day. It's as if the government, leftists, and foreign maniacs wait till Wednesday night and Thursday nite to do something outrageous, and this week was no different.
We started the show by talking about Russia and Ukraine and took off from there.
The EU spends $927M a day on Russian oil and gas. Trump warned them not to do it. Europe is facing the same economic issue as this U.S.Higher energy costs in Europe led to 7.5% inflation.
Jobless claims come in at 166K, the lowest level since 1968. The left-wing economist was dead wrong on inflation. Not too transient, don't you say, Skippy? The Democrats blame Putin and the Oil companies for the increases, but America isn't buying their lies. They understand that the blame should be placed on the Dems and their crazy leftist policies.
Other topics include:
- James Bullard, a Federal Reserve Governor, says the Fed is behind the curve on taming Inflation - "Fed funds currently at .5%. Should be 3.5%."
- On the border, it appears Democrats have a Deliberate Plan to let as many illegal aliens in as possible as evidence in the budget allows $4B to hire lawyers to defend the Illegals - Add in Title 42, no wall, and under-manned border patrol, and you have an unmitigated disaster.
- Politically, Hispanics, particularly women, are turning against the Democrats]
- Texas is planning to send busloads of Illegals to Washington DC
- Republican registrations are surging in PA at a rate 4X greater than Democrats
- Kenosha County in Wisconsin, home of the BLM riots, has flipped to Republican leadership after decades of Democratic control
- Republicans in GA lead Stacey Abrams by 6 points in the race for Government
- Police confirm 5 shooters have been involved in the gang-related deaths of 6 people in the Sacramento killings
- China warns the U.S. against Pelosi visiting Taiwan - The trip likely won't happen as she tested positive for Covid
- Judge Jackson was confirmed by Senate today before they leave town for 2 weeks
