Newlywed Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar was criticized on social media after offering up a self-described “radical idea” for the federal government to seize control of private hospitals during the coronavirus crisis. Omar (D-MN) assured it would be a temporary situation and would ‘relieve pressures’ on the healthcare system due to the outbreak. Government takeovers usually start as transient situations. “Here is maybe a radical idea to deal with some of the pressures our healthcare system is facing,” she wrote. “All private hospitals should be made public for the duration of the virus.”
Radical Idea
Yes, because once the government takes over these hospitals, they’ll simply return them to the private sector when all is said and done with the coronavirus disaster. And if you believe that I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.
And the VA has a wonderful track record of success.
As Fox News notes, reaction poured in suggesting Omar’s idea wasn’t merely radical, but outright Communist in nature.
“Spoken like a true Castroite,” one individual replied.
Another responded, “Here is another radical idea … “Let’s admit that communism doesn’t work and that it caused the #ChineseVirus.”

More Radical Ideas
This hasn’t been the only radical suggestion by Omar. She also called on government action during the crisis to include the cancellation of all student loan debt. Which, of course, has nothing to do with the virus.
In fact, Democrats have responded to the looming economic crisis by pretending it allows them to treat it like a Christmas wish list of radical ideas.
The resistance party held up a stimulus package to secure tax credits for solar panels. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi wanted the November election determined by mail-in ballots.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) threw caution to the wind and essentially said ‘to hell with it, let’s just print magical money.’
“Hey [President Trump], let’s provide relief from this crisis for people by giving pre-loaded debit cards to every person in America,” Tlaib tweeted. “No additional debt — we’ll just mint two [trillion dollar] coins.”

Straight Communism
Another Communist embarrassment to the country, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, announced a new plan last year, allowing the city government to seize buildings of landlords who force tenants out.
Similar to Omar’s plan, de Blasio was criticized for the same reasons.
“My first reaction was: Is this communist Cuba?” state Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis pondered. “I can say that as a daughter of Cuban refugees who fled Castro’s Cuba in 1959, this is what happened to her family, she had her home taken, my grandfather had his gas station taken.”
“This is straight communism, and I think it’s very scary to America-loving, democracy-loving people,” Malliotakis added.
Terrifying is a better word unless of course, one is a supporter of Bernie Sanders or most other Democrats.
