Before anyone knew about the draining of our Strategic Petroleum Reserves (SPR), energy Secretary Granholm met secretly twice with Chinese Communist officials before the release. Two days after the last secret meeting, Biden released 50 million barrels of oil from our SPR that were sold to China.
“Before telling the American people of their plans to undermine our energy security by draining the SPR at record rates for political purposes before the midterm elections, Secretary Granholm reportedly first secretly consulted with the Chinese Communist Party…Since then, DOE — under her leadership — has sold millions of barrels of oil from our SPR to China — the world’s biggest polluter. The DOE claims the meetings were about “climate change,” which is about as plausible as Rep Goldman trying to sell the idea that Joe Biden’s dinners with Hunter Business associates were about “the weather.” The DOE also claims that they are required by law to sell the oil to the ‘highest bidder’. Please note: the release of oil from the reserves had a negligible impact on gas prices in the US. The price of gas is still high…which is by design.
Suspicious Timing. Collusion or ‘Consulting’?
According to internal Department of Energy (DOE) calendars obtained by Americans for Public Trust, Granholm consulted China National Energy Administration Chairman Zhang Jianhua, a senior member of the Chinese Communist Party, Nov. 19, 2021, and two days later on Nov. 21, 2021.

Why does the Biden administration continually put the interests of the United States on the ‘back burner’ while playing squarely into the hands of a Communist country with a horrific human rights record? Because they have an “America Last” mentality. And they have a greedy money issue.
The administration has sold at least two million barrels of oil from the SPR to Unipec, an affiliate of the state-controlled China Petrochemical Corporation. Jianhua, who met with Granholm in 2021, served in a leadership role for years at the China Petrochemical Corporation, Reuters previously reported.
The first such sale was part of a 20-million-barrel SPR sale awarded to eight companies in September 2021. The other two — both sales for 950,000 barrels of oil — came in April 2022 and July 2022, respectively.
“China is profiting from President Biden’s political abuse of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve,” Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee Ranking member John Barrasso, R-Wyo., said earlier this year. “Meanwhile, America has become more vulnerable to true energy and national security emergencies.” Yahoo News
The secret meetings by Secretary Granholm with Chinese CCP officials smack of collusion. No matter how much the Biden administration tries to skate out from under the appearance of evil, evil sticks to them like Gorilla glue.
