BLM disrupted sick kids’ fundraiser

After all, what really says ‘Merry Christmas’ quite like a closed fist and angry protesters right up against your car?

Charities have a lot of creative ways to come together and raise money for their causes. This year — between the shutdowns and the distancing putting the hurt on fundraising opportunities — they had to rely on fewer fundraisers to do the heavy lifting.

All these motorists wanted to do was take their families out to enjoy the Christmas lights — and help their local sick kids charity. Since 1984, Candy Cane Lane has raised money for the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer. So far this year, organizers have raised more than $121,000. The holiday displays are located on Manitoba Street, just north of Oklahoma Avenue.

“The neighbors worked in concert in decorating their homes and encouraged visitors to make a small donation as they drove through the festively enhanced neighborhood. All of the money raised went to supporting research, treatment, and the eventual discovery of a cure for childhood cancers and related blood diseases.”

And who could possibly take issue with a community trying to raise funds for kids with cancer? Simple — a grifter group who sees those donations as supporting a rival charity. With BLM activists, there is only one cause in the world. Black lives matter and nothing else matters.

One man shared a post from a friend that read, “So my son and I were playing in the living room and we heard very loud music and people chanting from the outside. We open up the front door to see what all the commotion was about. It was a ‘Black Lives Matter’ march going up and down my block and through candy cane lane. These people saw my ‘Back the Badge’ sign and ‘Trump 2020’ sign and began to shout at us. They began to give us the middle finger and shouted, ‘F-CK YOU F-CK THE POLICE F-CK TRUMP!’ Uhm really? I am holding my ONE year old son in my arms. Glad to see how ‘peaceful’ and ‘respectful’ these people and protests really are lol. What a bunch of pieces of sh-t.”

If we take their chant at face value, this group actually resents treatment given to kids who have the wrong skin color.

Get cancer and die, if you’re not black enough is kind of an a-hole message, if you haven’t noticed, folks.

Won’t exactly earn you any goodwill from the people you are picketing and, perhaps, threatening.
