It started with Colin Kaepernick dating Muslim leftist radical Nessa Diab and her whispers that led to this suburban born adoptee raised by loving white parents to start dissing the American flag and in turn those who died to protect it by sitting on his ass during the national anthem. A national anthem that is played before every game that Colin Kaepernick roughly makes $1.185 MILLION to play each Sunday.
But this article isn’t about Colin Kaepernick and his brainwashing girlfriend. It’s about Megan Rapinoe who felt like jumping on the America bashing bandwagon and refusing to stand for the national anthem.
There are a few striking differences between Kaepernick and Rapinoe. Among them being the difference in gender, race and orientation. But the MOST striking difference is that while Kaepernick solely plays for a private organization in San Francisco, Megan Rapinoe has represented the United States in international soccer matches for the past 13 years which includes 3 years on the under 20 national team.
All of a sudden though, it is unconscionable for Ms. Rapinoe to get to her damn feet?
Colin Kaepernick may be a whipped little punk for his radicalized activist girlfriend but as I said before he makes his money representing the 49ers. Let’s put aside for the moment that in this oppression filled country of ours he still makes more money on any given Sunday that most “privileged” people will take a lifetime to make. Megan Rapinoe is REPRESENTING that country every time she puts on the US team jersey.
Maybe if this little hypocrite got her head out of her own ass she would realize that if this “conversation” that has her so damn important to her she would not only stay on her knees during the national anthem, but she would immediately RESIGN from the national team. I mean, why would you want to represent a nation you find so despicable?
Hmmm…maybe it has something to do with the 6 figure payday that Rapinoe is due for being a part of the USNWT.
But instead of kneeling by her convictions apparently Rapinoe would prefer to sell out as she was once again announced today, Sept 8th 2016, as a member of the USNWT for a pair of upcoming international friendlies.
So, we have established that Megan Rapinoe is an attention whore who will quickly sell out whatever “belief” she says she has for a pay day and a spot on the US National Women’s Team. The same nation I remind you that she is too disgusted with to stand for the anthem of.
Megan Rapinoe is the worst kind of hypocrite.
Fortunately, yesterday, my new favorite Women’s Soccer Team, the Washington Spirit put a wrench in Rapionoe’s fake protest.
When Rapinoe is not selling out in international games she plays for the Seattle Reign. Yesterday, the Reign played in Washington against the Spirits and Rapinoe’s continued protest of the national anthem was undermined by the patriotic ownership of the Spirits.
You see, Rapinoe wasn’t given the opportunity to disrespect the nation, the flag or those who had fought and sacrificed for it because while she was in the locker room getting ready the Owner of the Spirits had the national anthem played BEFORE the teams took the field.
The Spirit released this statement prior to the match:
“We decided to play the Anthem in our stadium ahead of schedule rather than subject our fans and friends to the disrespect we feel such an act would represent. We understand this may be seen as an extraordinary step, but believe it was the best option to avoid taking focus away from the game on such an important night for our franchise.
“To willingly allow anyone to hijack this tradition that means so much to millions of Americans and so many of our own fans for any cause would effectively be just as disrespectful as doing it ourselves.”
Hat’s off to the Washington Spirits. Class act and shrewd move.
Rapinoe on the other hand was incensed and lost her mind.
She called the action of not letting her disrespect the flag, country, anthem and soldiers as “unbelievable”.
She went on to try and spin her outrage at casting aspersions on the Washington Spirits:
“It was incredibly distasteful, four days before one of the worst tragedies in our country, to say I tried to hijack this event.”
No, what is incredibly distasteful is that you still want your cake and eat it too. You want to be disrespectful and rip our country while also having that same country pay you to represent it internationally. Has Megan Rapinoe taken too many headers to understand how incredibly hypocritical that is?
Furthermore, Rapinoe had the gall to say this (highlighted for emphasis):
“Being a gay American, I know what it means to look at the flag and not have it protect all of your liberties. It was something small that I could do and something that I plan to keep doing in the future and hopefully spark some meaningful conversation around it.”
Yeah, keep being a worthless pile of crap and stay on your knees. How about you do something BIG instead and stop representing the US team in international contests? I mean, as a gay woman whose country apparently doesn’t protect your liberty enough, why would you possibly want to represent it to the world?
Please, somebody answer me THAT question. Kneeling is easy…standing by your convictions is not. It seems that Megan Rapinoe prefers the former and is too cowardly to consider the later.
And the Seattle Reign is no better. While talking out of both sides of its mouth, the Reign released this statement:
“We will continue to encourage all Reign FC players to participate in the pre-match ceremony, which honors those who have served and made sacrifices on our behalf. We will also continue to allow players to participate in the pre-match ceremony in a manner consistent with their personal beliefs, reflecting our respect for the rights earned and defended by those fighting for our nation.”
So the Reign admits to the anthem being a time to honor service men and women who have sacrificed for this country but also fully support those on the team who would metaphorically piss all over their memory. Slick.
At least the Washington Spirit has it right. Their previous statement concerning the undermining of Rapinoe’s ridiculous protest included this:
“The tradition of honoring our military and our patriotism before our games is very important to us. We strongly feel that there are better ways to begin a conversation about a cause than tarnishing a tradition that is so important to so many.”
Amen to that. I guess it doesn’t hurt your perspective when your team owner, Bill Lynch, is himself a veteran who has lost comrades overseas.
Rapinoe is just a piece of garbage who wants to jump into a halfhearted protest but is too cheap and cowardly to forgo her spot on the US Nationals Womens Team. What else does one really need to know about her character.
Cheers to the Washington Spirit and I hope more teams follow their lead and deny this little attention whore her cheap moment in the spotlight.
