Britain and parts of Europe patted themselves on the back for having “gone green” after they began relying on wind turbines to bring their citizens electricity. But now that the region has been hit with an unusual bout of windless weather, suddenly they have no electricity.

I guess these epic dolts never figured out that if the win ain’t blowin’ your power goes dark.

According to The Telegraph, Britons are suddenly finding out that relying on wind power might not have been the brightest move.

Wind power has collapsed to less than 1pc of Britain’s electricity supply as some of the stillest weather in years hits the UK and Europe.

Near-zero wind speeds and low temperatures have left the UK dependent on France, Norway, Belgium and Denmark to keep the lights on through much of today, with the countries collectively supplying more than 10pc of the UK’s electricity through undersea cables.

Who could ever have seen all THAT coming?

“Green” energy is simply not scalable for millions of people.

Sure, it works in small projects. A single community of maybe a few dozen, a single home, sure. In those cases, it probably works fine. But it just isn’t reliable enough for millions. When you have entire cities, you need something reliable. If you don’t have that, people die.

Fortunately, we finally have a president in the U.S. that understands that green energy is a joke and should be relegated to fantasyland where it belongs.
