The Pentagon’s Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) has issued a memo to employees noting that the agency is pausing its many left-wing celebration days, including Juneteenth, women’s history, Pride Month, Women’s Equity Day, and many other events.
The pause was said to be part of the DIA’s attempt to obey Trump’s executive orders to put an end to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
Per Just the News:
The Pentagon’s intelligence agency released an internal memo this week that highlighted 11 events that will be halted over the ban, but it said Juneteenth and Martin Luther King Jr. day will remain federal holidays.
“The Defense Intelligence Agency is working with the Department of Defense to fully implement all Executive Orders and Administration guidance in a timely manner,” Lt. Cmdr. Seth Clarke, DIA spokesman, told ABC News. “As we receive additional guidance, we will continue to update our internal guidance.”
Other events that will be impacted are those related to Black History Month, Women’s History Month, Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Women’s Equality Day, National Hispanic Heritage Month, National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and National American Indian Heritage Month.
The agency is also ending its “Agency Resource Groups, Affinity Groups, and Employee Networking Groups,” the memo said.
The DIA is also probably trying a passive aggressive attempt to make Trump look bad, too. It is also pausing Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Holocaust Days of Remembrance — neither of which Trump wants to stop.
But it’ll get sorted out once Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gets around to it.
