One of America’s biggest publishers has dumped its plans to publish a book about Joe Biden due to a complete lack of interest in the book-buying public.

According to Politico, Simon and Schuster has cancelled its upcoming Biden book because, “further reflection of the soft market for books about President Joe Biden.”

Well, looks like Alex Thompson of Axios, who was set to write the book, is out of a big payday.

So, why did Simon and Schuster make this decision?

Politico adds: “Simon and Schuster’s decision comes as a series of Biden books have sold relatively poorly — compared, at least, to the standards set by a number of best-sellers about predecessor DONALD TRUMP.”

The book was supposed to be published in the next few years and would have been hitting bookstores just as the 2024 presidential election was set to hit high gear. They hoped to help Bid4en get re-elected. But, uncharacteristically, they decided that the cost would just be too dear.

Biden is just that unpopular.

How unpopular?

Here is how badly other Biden books sold over the last few years.
“The Long Alliance”: 1,500 copies
“The Fight of His Life”: 5,000 copies
“The Last Politician”: 12,000 copies

This is horrible.

Meanwhile two recent Trump-focused books sold just a tad more, with “Fire and Fury” selling a million copies and “Peril” selling 400,000 copies. And these two books are hateful against Trump!

People just don’t buy Biden books. Not pro-Biden, or anti-Biden. No one is interested in Biden’s story. It’s just that simple.
