It’s clear that even dangerous gangs like Tren De Aragua are being given advance notice of large-scale ICE actions by activists intent on helping them duck US law. But they’re playing a dangerous game.
Tom Homan’s priority has been the targeting of dangerous criminals wanted for (among other things) murder, rape, and the harming of children. Surrounding and capturing such criminals is dangerous enough on its own, but when they’re getting tipped off in advance about a raid, it exposes the locals to the ongoing risk of becoming their next victim. He was asked about the active role seen by hecklers and some lefty with a bullhorn giving warnings and instruction in Spanish to any illegals that might be hiding out in the nearby buildings.

Now that Pam Bondi is confirmed, he will be working closely with the DOJ, getting direction from them about what actions would cross that line. If you meet the the threshold for impediment, you can expect to an opportunity to wear some shiny new handcuffs. As for the leakers? Tom says he already knows who tipped people off yesterday… and he’s doing something about it immediately.
