The oldest survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor in WWII has died at the age of 105.
Warren Upton, the last surviving crew member of the USS Utah passed away on Wednesday at a hospital in Los Gatos, California after contracting pneumonia, the AP reported.
He was a crew member of the USS Utah which was moored at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941 when Japanese bombers struck that terrible morning.
Upton has said that when the first bob stuck the Utah, he was getting ready for his morning shave. second strike cause the ship to list and capsize. Upton managed to swim free of the ship and dove into a ditch to avoid the attack.
He swam to swam ashore to Ford Island where he stayed for a half an hour until he jumped on a truck to safety.
There are now only 15 left still alive who survived that dark day.
