The fantasy goal of having a “net zero” emissions output in most of America’s deep blue, Democrat-infested states is collapsing as reality hits their foolish claims on the head with a big, fat reality stick.
Here is the fact about so-called “net zero”: It can’t exist without massive government subsidies. Our energy consumption is not going to go down and mythical “green energy” simply can’t supply what we need because most green energy is not scalable for entire states. Solar, for instance, can power your house. It might even be able to power a larger building. But it simply cannot power a city. Not reliably.
This means green energy is simply not an economically viable enterprise. If left solely to their own devices, they’ll never make enough money to stay. up and running. This means that the only way these green facilities can get built and stay in operation is by receiving massive government subsidies.
And that right there proves that these green energy schemes are a fantasy, not a real, viable plan.
Worse, every single blue state that has created these foolish net zero plans simply assume green energy will fill the gap after fossil fuels are eliminated.
But now that the Trump administration is pulling back and eliminating these subsides, it is becoming patently obvious that none of these states will reach their net zero goals any time soon, and certainly not by the dates they have laid out in the “laws” they have passed mandating net zero.

Wind and solar have benefited from federal tax credits, loans, and outright grants since 1992. But the Trump administration is now working to slash federal government support for these technologies. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBB) passed the House of Representatives on May 22. The bill eliminates Production Tax Credits and Investment Tax Credits for renewable systems that begin construction later than 60 days after passage of the bill or for projects that do not complete construction by year end 2028. The bill also halts the sale of tax credits from renewable projects. If the Senate passes the bill, these measures will choke off green energy projects that have relied on federal funding for decades.
Net zero foolishness has also contributed to threats of black outs and brown outs as these lawmakers driven by the climate hoax religion and not by reality shut down useful energy sources and try to substitute unreliable green sources.
In December, the North American Electric Reliability Corporation concluded that that over half of North America risks power shortfalls in the next decade from surging demand and coal and gas plant retirements. Grid operators are now stepping back from the transition to wind and solar. Coal-fired power plant closures have been postponed in Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, Utah, West Virginia, and other states. Nuclear plants are being restarted in Michigan and Pennsylvania. But the big winner will be natural gas.
And none of the net zero plans ever took into account the increased energy use of the Internet and artificial intelligence.
The upshot of all this is that it is finally becoming obvious that the net zero movement is a fantasy that simply won’t ever come to fruition. And all these leftist loons passed their net zero laws without any actual science or technology on their side.
