Sweden and it’s problem with Muslim refugees has been in the news ever since President Trump mentioned the country at a rally about a month ago. Of course the liberal American media has been covering the story by bashing the President for making the comment. An interesting/frightening news item is being covered in the British press which is being ignored in the U.S. According to the Swedish Defense Ministry the Muslim Brotherhood, parent organization of many world-wide Islamist terrorist organizations is creating a parallel society in their country.
Per the UK Daily Mail, the government document claims that the with the help of a PC political elite, the Muslim Brotherhood is building a “parallel society” within the country so it can organize Swedish Muslims into a strong political voting bloc as a step in helping it get closer to its goal, a global Sunni Islamic Caliphate.
The Muslim Brotherhood is arguably the largest Islamist group in the world, and has a dual strategy of creating overt terrorist groups such as Hamas, but also benign appearing front groups such as CAIR, ISNA, and MAS in the U.S. The Swedish “parallel society” seems to be an attempt at the second, more benign strategy.
The report, which was published on Friday, was commissioned by Sweden’s Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB), which is part of the country’s Ministry of Defense.
The paper’s authors claim the Brotherhood is working to increase the number of practising Muslims in Sweden, which they say encourages tension with the secular society and puts community cohesion in jeopardy.
The authors also claim the organisation is targeting political parties, NGOs, academic institutions and other civil society organisations.
As one would expect in a liberal society such as Sweden critics are calling the report ‘conspiratorial’ and claiming it misrepresents Islam.
In response the report’s editor, Magnus Norell, hit back at critics, telling public service broadcaster SVT: ‘Had they smoked something before they read it?
‘You just need to read the report. If someone doesn’t accept this, there’s not much I can do about it. It’s proven.’
Along with the parallel society, there has been a rapid rise in the number of rapes in Sweden that seems to have grown with the influx of Muslim refugees into the country.
The Gatestone Institute’s Ingrid Carlqvist reports that forty years after the Swedish parliament unanimously decided to change the formerly homogenous Sweden into a multicultural country, violent rapes are up by almost 1,500%. In 1975, 421 rapes were reported to the police; in 2014, it was 6,620. That is an increase of 1,472%. Ms. Carlqvist suggests the increase of rapes is attributable to the mass influx of immigrants, coming mainly from Muslim countries such as Iraq, Syria and Somalia. Over the past 10-15 years, immigrants to Sweden have arrived mainly from Muslim countries such as Iraq, Syria and Somalia. It can’t be totally confirmed that it was these Muslim immigrants because the very P.C. Swedish law forbids registration based on people’s ancestry or religion however, the growth rapes have coincided with the growth of Muslim immigrants.
Carlqvist created a video about the immigrant/rapist problem which was initially banned by Facebook. The video is an updated version of a research paper published by Gatestone in February of 2015 which, based on quantitative research, speculated the increase in rapes was attributable to the arrival of large blocks of refugees from Islamist countries. None of this means that Sweden (or the U.S.) should totally ban Muslim refugees into the country. What it does suggest is that President Trump is correct in attempting to strengthen vetting of people from terrorist countries into the U.S. Additionally both politicians (such as Nancy Pelosi and Keith Ellison) and news vehicles should stop dealing with Muslim Brotherhood affiliated groups in the U.S. including CAIR, ISNA, and MAS as such dealings give the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood legitimacy.
