Stevie Wonder was on “CBS This Morning” to talk about the loss of his longtime friend, collaborator, and inspiration Aretha Franklin, the “Queen of Soul” who passed away last week due to pancreatic cancer. After the usual praise for her talent and warmth, Stevie wonder became Dr. Stevie. He went on a rant that first seemed to say Ms. Franklin developed cancer because of climate skeptics:

This thing I just feel that all these various diseases that we have and all these things that are happening in the world in part is because there are those who don’t believe in global warming, don’t believe that what we do affects the world. what we eat affects the world. and affects us.

Or was he blaming bigotry and selfishness, because he continued:

And I just hope that people will grow up and grow out of the foolishness and know that we all by how we think how we do how we treat others we will never unlock the key until we truly let go the hatred the bigotry the evilness the selfishness when we do that then we can unlock some of those things that keep us in this place.

The real answer is Aretha Franklin died if pancreatic cancer, which wasn’t caused by global warming, skeptics, nor was it caused by selfishness and bigotry. The only thing Stevie wonder proved is that climate change, at least a firm belief in climate change, causes people to make stupid statements.
