In 2018, coffee house giant Starbucks pumped itself up as the paragon of virtue by creating an open-door policy to allow anyone in whether they were a customer or not. Now they have quietly revoked that policy.

You might recall that Starbucks floated its policy to allow anyone — including homeless people and black people — to wander in and take up space in their restaurants so the company could show how inclusive and caring it is. The policy was put in place after two black men who were not buying any food or drinks were arrested for basically being vagrants.

Now all that love and inclusion is out the window.

Per GuruFocus:

The updated code, effective January 27, includes prohibitions against begging and disorderly conduct. It will be displayed in Starbucks locations, and baristas will be trained to enforce these rules, with the authority to ask violators to leave. If necessary, staff can seek assistance from local law enforcement. Customers are still allowed to use restrooms and connect to free WiFi before making a purchase.

Apparently, this policy was too expensive.

So much for the more caring, more tolerant leftists at Starbucks!

Hilarious.
