Starbuck has closed yet another one of its outlets in Seattle, the very city where the company started, all because the Democrats there have allowed crime to skyrocket.
This week, the company announced that it will be permanently closing its outlet located near Pike Place Market in Seattle, Washington, due to the out-of-control crime in the area.
“As a standard course of business, we regularly evaluate our store portfolio to determine how we can best meet our community and customers’ needs and ensure partners are supported in crafting beverages in a warm and welcoming environment,” a Starbucks spokesperson told KOMO-TV. “We look forward to continuing to serve the community and visitors at our other nearby locations, including the original store at 1912 Pike Place and 1st and University.”
Officials for the building have confirmed that they have signed a termination of rental agreement with Starbucks.
Deanna Cunningham, who works near the closing coffee outlet, was shocked at the announcement, and said “Oh, my gosh, it’s like actually real.”
“The main focus is to have your customers feel comfortable, and if that isn’t happening, even if they are busy, it’s so many tourists that that’s their first interaction with Starbucks sometimes, and I understand that can deter people,” she added.
The location had been “temporarily” closed in July because the company had issues with local crime. And now it is officially not coming back.
This is just one more of nearly a dozen shops that Starbucks has eliminated sine 2022 because of the rampant crime around those locations.
Seattle has been devolving into a crime dystopia for a decade or more as a long list of Democrats continue to invest city hall and local “prosecutors” offices.
Disinterest in enforcing the law from city hall and the prosecutors offices is so bad that the city can’t even get new candidates to apply for police jobs. The Seattle PD is now at crisis levels in its staff levels and has lost 612 officers since 2020, but only been able to hire 257 to replace them.
