Should Congress Consider The US Mayor’s Role In Failed Global Climate Policies?

The Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy is another UN-connected organization that grew out of the utterly failed US Mayors Climate Protection Agreement, initiated by Seattle’s Mayor Greg Nichels in February of 2005. That pathetic effort came about just over a year after three US governors had signed a secret West Coast Governors Global Warming Initiative in Sept. of 2003, after our US Senate had rejected the UN’s Kyoto Protocols. Seattle’s Mayor Nickels claimed “I got ticked. I was embarrassed that our country didn’t sign the Kyoto Protocols, so I committed to do something on behalf of the people of Seattle”. Mainstream media conveniently failed to report that Washington State Governor Gary Locke had formed a Democrat-controlled entity known as the Prosperity Partnership in 2004, which launched a new Cluster Industry to corner the market for clean energy technologies. That began a new cycle of shady backroom deals by the political elites in the US.

Americans were also kept in the dark when former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg, the UN Special Envoy for Cities and Climate, announced an aggressive new effort in 2014. While this Special Envoy was proclaiming that “Cities are key players in the global fight against climate change – and this research measures, for the first time, the huge difference they can make together,” no one could ever explain how those innovative solutions were making cities better, safer places to live and work. In almost every case, the Democrat-controlled cities in the US were becoming much more dangerous, filthy, and ungovernable due in large part to the rampant corruption in city, county, and state bureaucracies.

All of those old initiatives were part of Obama’s new Clean Power Plan, which was found to be unconstitutional in 2016. And again in 2022, when the Biden regime tried to resurrect that failed plan, All made possible by Dept of Energy programs that had increased the price of electricity, with vague Market Transformation policies that have been absolutely destructive for America’s industrial sector.

Is it reasonable to ask why Congress still ignores a state-owned enterprise like California’s SEI’s Climate Corps? This NGO has allegedly been providing professional development opportunities for implementing sustainability and resiliency projects with local governments, nonprofits, and for-profit businesses since 2010. The SEI Climate Corps claims to have worked with over 600 partners and 800 Fellows at agencies like the ‘Workers Ownership Initiative” to Build Wealth, Retain Quality Jobs, and Stabilize Businesses in Los Angeles County. This dedicated group of government entrepreneurs was formed on September 12, 2023, and is the newest addition to The United States Federation of Worker Cooperatives (USFWC), formed in 2004 under the Bush regime.

Its mission is to build a thriving ecosystem for worker-owned and controlled businesses to power a movement for racial justice and economic democracy. Economic democracy is an Orwellian form of double-speak, practiced exclusively by progressives who can’t distinguish the difference between making a real profit and accessing public revenues for green-washing schemes that are only open to their fellow Crony Capitalists. This is why every green initiative has been built around diversity, equity, and inclusion policies; it’s used as a barrier to exclude the most qualified job applicants. These policies were always presented as job creation programs but for the benefit of politicians and bureaucrats.

This has allowed political hacks like Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm to play the part of a scientist working with groups like the Rocky Mountain Institute on natural gas policies that the vast majority of Americans don’t support in any manner. Socialist leaders in Europe played along with the DOE’s corrupt backroom policy initiatives, which included turning a blind eye to the recent sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines. The most significant act of Eco-terrorism in world history was treated as just another issue open for debate, which progressive pundits could simply dismiss as inconsequential to the needs of the average European citizen. The same UN policies that forced nations across the planet to abandon common are now crashing faster than the electric vehicle marketplace.

That opened the door for the Climate Group, another international nonprofit founded in 2003. This group depends on the support of like-minded donors, providing philanthropical, often entrepreneurial and stimulating, funding. These donors are the Who’s Who of the significant environmental players that have been pushing the Global Warming narrative for over three decades. These are also closely associated with the UN’s Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) and organizations like the Berkeley California-China Climate Institute that have been allowed to create their own Climate Corps® as part of a Global Alliance of Universities on Climate economic model.

American voters need to start getting educated on these groups as the 2024 election cycle begins because the media Spin Doctors are going to suppress, twist, or manipulate all reporting on these failed policies that represent Biden’s Green New Steal.
