Democrats have utter contempt for this country. We see it nearly every day. The latest outrage occurred last week in San Francisco, where city officials handed out a position on its Elections Commission to someone who isn’t even a U.S. citizen.
Worse, the activist leftist the fools at city hall gave the job to isn’t even an advocate for America, our ideals, or our systems of government. She is an activist for illegals and wants to tear down all our laws and practices.
On Wednesday, Board of Supervisors President Aaron Peskin swore in left-wing, anti-American, activist Kelly Wong as the newest member of the San Francisco Elections Commission, even though she isn’t even legally allowed to vote in city elections, KQED reported.
Wong says her new position is a “beacon of hope” to illegals, telling them that in the near future, all American laws will be rewritten to give noncitizens even more freebies and perks than they have already been illicitly given by Democrats rapacious for our tax dollars.
Granted, Wong was put in place by a member of the city council — where such appointments originate — but sadly, this isn’t just an idiot move by left-wing city officials. Wong got her position because the self-hating voters of San Francisco passed a foolhardy measure that removed the citizenship requirement to serve on San Francisco boards, commissions, and advisory bodies.
President Peskin praised Wong, naturally.
“I’m very impressed by her commitment to enfranchising people who rarely vote, to educating people about the voting process, and to bring in noncitizens and get them the tools they need as they become citizens,” he blathered.
Do ya think they “rarely vote” because they are NOT legal citizens with any right to vote, Mr. Peskin?
Wong celebrated her ill-gotten gains by talking about the “voices in her head.”
“There are always voices inside my head. Like, ‘You can’t do it. You’re not competent. You’re an immigrant. This is not your country.’ That’s not true,” said the Hong Kong-born Wong who has only been in the U.S. for around four years. “If I can do it, you can do it.”
Naturally, one of Wong’s first jobs is to further marginalize English and force the city to print election ballots in dozens of languages, further Balkanizing communities to stay insular and not to integrate into American society.
“I’ve seen how language and cultural barriers prevent immigrants with limited English proficiency from fully exercising their right to vote,” Wong said. “Is there a way to do voter outreach that is not just about translation but can touch on political education while maintaining neutrality and impartiality in elections?”
Clearly, Wong’s only interest is to advocate for people who should not even be voting unless they become citizens. She sees her job as to tear down our election laws, rewrite them to favor foreigners, and to further erode the vested interests that citizens should have in their government.
Noncitizens have no “right to vote,” Mz Wong.
Wong appears to have once been an operative for the Chinese Government back in Hong Kong if her Linkdin resume is any indication, and is also currently an employee of the United Nations as a full-time employee of UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. And one of her early “successes” was a paper that aimed to prove that Americans are racists against Chinese people in Boston.
None of that seems to argue that she at all cares about America, our history, our ethos, or our ideals.
