Republican Secretary of State Frank LaRose is referring 597 noncitizens for voting illegally and/or illegally registering to vote in the Buckeye State.

Of this number, LaRose claims that 139 actually voted illegally. The other 459 foreigners registered illegally.

The state has been performing these reviews since 2019, and each year they have uncovered more. In 2019, for instance, they found 354, in 2021 they only found 117, and in 2022 they found 148.

“We’re removing non-citizens from the voter rolls and actually referring them for prosecution because the law that’s not followed is… well, it’s not a law; it’s a suggestion. And so, if people break the law in Ohio, they’re going to face the consequences for it,” LaRose told Benjamin Harnwell on The War Room.

LaRose also said that the federal government has been resisting Ohio’s effort to ferret out illegal voters.
