Even though Omar Mateen, the alleged gunman in the shooting at an Orlando nightclub, called 911 and pledged allegiance to ISIS prior to the shooting, liberals on Twitter blamed the NRA for the Orlando Terror Attack, and for the terrorist having an automatic weapon (that he didn’t have) and an assault weapon (every weapon is an assault weapon).
But it’s certainly much easier for liberals to scapegoat the NRA rather than blaming the massacre on the real villain, radical Muslims, political Islam, Islamist terrorist etc. It is so much easier to believe that if guns were taken away from everyone tall attacks would stop, as if criminals would “obey gun laws” or that terrorists wouldn’t find something else to use such as suicide bomb belts, or (as was used in Boston) a pressure cooker turned into a bomb. Liberals usually go for the easy excuse, and their take on the horrific attack in Orlando is just one more example
All of the tweets below and most of the comments are the work of my college Joe Newby and appeared on his great site Conservativefiringline. The comments in bold black type were added by yours truly:
Killer in #Orlando shooting was a “known quantity” to FBI. Yet had no trouble buying guns. I blame Wahhabism & NRA https://t.co/XQC2erUXWC
— Trita Parsi (@tparsi) June 12, 2016
Parsi and the organization he leads the National Iranian American Council’s (NIAC) have been the leading lobbyists in America for the Iranian Islamist regime. Something he would deny but The US District Court for the District of Columbia disagreed, finding in 2012 that the work of NIAC president and founder Tritra Parsi was “not inconsistent with the idea that he was first and foremost an advocate for the regime.” So perhaps before placing blame on the violent type of Sunni Islam, Parsi should explain why he is a front man for a violent terrorist funding Shia regime.
Such a tragedy in Orlando…. Thanks NRA.The gun lobby is not the will of the people of this country!

Terrorism isn’t the will of the country either. Lets stop with this PC Nonsense and start protecting Americans.
How many more @NRA? How many more? Before we do something…anything…but something. #Orlando

After the Boston Marathon bombing did they go after Williams-Sonoma for selling pressure cookers? That’s what the bombs were made of.
Of course, former CNN talking head Piers Morgan — who knows better even though he hates the NRA and the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms — weighed in:
Inspired by ISIS.
Enabled by NRA. #orlando pic.twitter.com/b3ybvOzijZ— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) June 12, 2016
Just what we needed stupid comments from the failed British TV host. One day someone should cast him as the scarecrow in Wizard of Oz “If I only had a brain” was written for Piers.
Here’s a tweet that shows just how ignorant anti-gun leftists are on the issue:
How many deaths will it take for the #nra to create more restrictions on automatic weapons.. #Orlando pic.twitter.com/baK04HN46Z
— Hisham A. Bharoocha (@HishamBharoocha) June 12, 2016
Hello? The NRA is not a legislative body, so it can’t create restrictions on gun laws, and there were no automatic weapons used in the attack.
Facts, I know. They’re so inconvenient to the left.
Naturally, anti-gun ghouls are using the Orlando shooting to demand even more gun control.
BAN ASSAULT RIFLES. HOLD THE @NRA ACCOUNTABLE. (The same @NRA who hasn’t said a word about the massacre in Orlando.) #BanAutomaticWeapons
— Liz Feldman (@thelizfeldman) June 12, 2016
Note: All rifles are assault rifles, a knife used in an attack is an assault knife, etc. The entire purpose of a weapon is to assault. BTW the terrorist, Mateen didn’t have an automatic weapon #BanStupidTweeters. In fact:
Isis will be delighted Mateen had guns, but NRA & conservative lobby made sure he could buy them legally despite FBI investigations #Orlando
— Lucy Wainwright (@Whoozley) June 12, 2016
Actually, no — the NRA does not formulate law nor does it implement it.
Actress Felicity Huffman asked:
How many more @NRA? How many more? Before we do something…anything…but something. #Orlando
— Felicity Huffman (@FelicityHuffman) June 12, 2016
And was told she should direct the question elsewhere:
You should be asking that question to @CAIRNational not the @NRA https://t.co/krBLkfrDg6
— Steve (@lcac31) June 12, 2016
Very true.
Hillary Clinton weighed in and decided to use the attack as a toll to fight for gun control.
The Hill reported:
Law enforcement and politicians have speculated about connections to terrorism.
Clinton went on to say that international terror groups need to be defeated and the U.S. should continue to counter their recruiting efforts.
“This was also an act of hate. The gunman attacked an LGBT nightclub during Pride Month. To the LGBT community: Please know that you have millions of allies across our country. I am one of them,” Clinton said.
The former secretary of State also called for gun control, saying the U.S. needs to keep guns “like the ones used last night” out of the hands of terrorists and criminals.
“This is the deadliest mass shooting in the history of the United States, and it reminds us once more that weapons of war have no place on our streets,” Clinton said.
