On Tuesday dozens of leftist employees at left-wing Internet search giant Google invested two of the company’s HQ offices to protest in favor of the Hamas terrorists in Gaza and against Israel. But, despite that the company is also left-wing, these employees learned a hard lesson about protesting at work.

The employees marched into the tech giant’s New York office and the Sunnyvale, California, office of Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian and staged a sit in with banners and chants and the whole nine yards.

They were accusing Google of supporting Israel’s “genocide” against the so-called “Palestinians,” and were marching in support of the extremist, anti-Israel group called No Tech for Apartheid.

One might have expected Google — as far left as they come — would fall all over itself to support the protesting employees and let them depart the HQs unmolested.

Surprisingly, you would be wrong with that assumption.

On Wednesday, the company fired 28 of the protesting employees and put the rest on notice.

“Their behavior was unacceptable, extremely disruptive, and made coworkers feel threatened. We placed employees involved under investigation and cut their access to our systems. Those who refused to leave were arrested by law enforcement and removed from our offices. Following investigation, today we terminated the employment of twenty-eight employees found to be involved. We will continue to investigate and take action as needed,” X user Yashar Ali wrote.

“Behavior like this has no place in our workplace and we will not tolerate it,” Google insisted.

“The overwhelming majority of our employees do the right thing. If you’re one of the few who are tempted to think we’re going to overlook conduct that violates our policies, think again,” the statement continued. “The company takes this extremely seriously, and we will continue to apply our longstanding policies to take action against disruptive behavior — up to and including termination.”

The response to the protesters was surprising, granted. But it does show Google’s corporate hypocrisy as it supports disruptive protests at everyone else’s places of business.

Apparently, “for thee, but not for me,” is Google’s by words.
