In a recent edition of “ReidOut,” MSNBC all-around bigot Joy Reid went on an unhinged rant painting all Republicans as Neo-Nazis, and domestic terrorists bent on creating a dictatorship.
“It’s a party that’s committed to turning domestic terrorists into martyrs and freedom fighters while launching a crusade against the COVID vaccine and now any vaccine, even if that leaves America more vulnerable to sickness and suffering and death and anyone who’s encouraging you to stay alive by taking the vaccine, well, they’re called Neo-Nazis,” she said.
HOW DARE SHE!!!! I am a Republican and a Jew who had family members who suffered through the holocaust. Reid’s hyperbolic reference to Nazis is disgusting and cheapens the memory of the actual horrors that millions of people suffered through. Perhaps she needs to go to Yad Vashem in Israel to learn what the Nazis did. If she does that she will never inappropriately use the world Nazi again. Unless, of course, she is an insensitive imbecile–which also seems true.
The Holocaust is a singular event in world history and not just because of its scale and inhuman horror. Yes, there have been, and sadly will be, other genocides of other groups, and there have even been other atrocities against the Jewish people. On the coming fast day of Tisha B’av, we remember many of them. But generally, a genocide is waged to suppress a group, keep them out of a country’s politics, take their land, or for some other economic reason. The Holocaust was different– the Jews targeted by Hitler and the Nazis had no desire to take over the country’s land and held relatively little power–they were just hated. Some genocides are committed to keep certain people from their population, But the Nazis not only massacred German Jews, but they took Jews from other countries and killed them.
“Remember when these ideas were relegated to some cookie corner of the internet? When erasing a politician’s crime sounded like Putin? Not too long ago, our idea of the Republican fringe was people in tricorner hats getting angry about taxes and a black president. Well, this new fringe ate that fringe for breakfast and it’s taken over the mainstream Republican party,” she added.
Putin Huh? That charge was proven to be a load of bull…maybe Joy didn’t read it because it was in all the newspapers. Erasing a crime? Like Hillary Clinton or Hunter Biden? Getting angry about taxes, I will admit I pay too much in taxes. Black President? The fact that Obama is black never bothered me. I didn’t like the way he led from behind, screwed up my health insurance, and the fact that he was an anti-Semite.
“And it all culminates in that new bizarro world, Republican ideology doing everything in their power to make it so hard for you to vote that you can never vote them out”
WRONG! They are making it harder to cheat. These new voting laws make it easier for those who have the right to vote —to vote. Joy Reid and the Democrats are trying to eliminate is a basic principle of our democratic republic: one man, one vote. The Democratic Party voting bill HR1 not only accomplishes that mission, but it is meant to create a permanent majority for her party.
Do you know what really hurts our Democratic Republic? Bigots on TV….like Joy Reid
Reid has attacked people of Christian faith, claiming there were too many Catholics on the U.S. Supreme Court to rule on the Hobby Lobby case, and she’s compared “Christian beliefs to ‘Something out of a novel. In 2018 posts displaying her hatred of Gay people were discovered. She also photoshopped a picture of Sen. John McCain, suggesting he was responsible for the Virginia Tech massacre and was revealed as a 9/11 “truther.” Joy Reid is not a fan of Mexican immigrants, has promoted the anti-Semitic canard that Jews and Israel control American foreign policy, spewed the modern version of the anti-Semitic blood libel, and much more.
In November 2020, Reid referred to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas – a far more accomplished African-American – as “Uncle Clarence,” an apparent reference to Uncle Tom. And in March of 2021, she claimed, “people on the right would trade all the tax cuts for the ability to openly say the n-word like in “the good old days.”
Sorry Joy, but as a person on the right, neither I nor any conservative I’ve ever met have had a desire to openly or privately use the n-word. However, to be honest, I’ve had the urging to use the p-word as in “Joy Reid is a bigoted, ignorant Putz.” But that uses a Yiddish expression. Based on your comments about Jews, it is doubtful you understand any Yiddish.
If Joy Reid had any knowledge of history, she would understand that during what she called “the good old days,” Republicans were fighting against slavery. In more modern times, it was the GOP who were fighting against Democratic Party filabusters preventing civil rights legislation. If she studied well, she might also learn that the word Nazi is short for Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterparte, or in English National Socialist German Workers’ Party. Hitler and his Nazi party were leftist socialists like many people in the Democratic Party.
However, I would also object to calling the Democrats neo-Nazis. There are singular events in world history that shouldn’t be used for political comparisons, such as the Holocaust, slavery in America, and Apartheid in South Africa. In their own unique way, they are incomparable to anything else. But it takes intelligence to understand that almost every time she speaks in public, Joy Reid proves you just can’t fix stupid.
