John Brennan, the former CIA director who seems to have found a new career as a Twitter troll and “leader” of what looks more and more like an attempted coup d’etat against President Trump, came under intense fire from a retired CIA officer who declared that Brennan’s “day of judgment is coming.”
“Once the #FBI #IGReport is public, the sword of justice will begin swinging. You & the people who dishonored our proud services will not escape. Your protests will then be seen for what they are: a PR campaign designed to incite panic & sow doubt,” said Bryan Dean Wright, who slammed Brennan as a “political hack.”
“Your day of judgment is coming,” he said.

One Twitter user asked Wright if he served during Brennan’s tenure:
Were you at the CIA during Brennan’s tenure?
— Lanette Williams (@MissouriSenior) May 20, 2018
“Yes,” Wright said. “I worked w/ @JohnBrennan. We viewed him as a political hack w/ the operational mind of an earthworm. (He once said the CIA “doesn’t steal secrets.” Sums up his intellect nicely) His day of judgment is coming. And he knows it. His high-road tweets are an act. Justice awaits.”

Ouch.
And it seems Wright isn’t the only one with a low opinion of Brennan
Former Intel Operative Col. Tony Shaffer US Army(Ret.) tweeted:
Everyone I know who worked w/ @JohnBrennan has the same view – a political hack who had his personal ambition as his only core value – he kept CIA from doing it’s job to spy on foreign threats & used @CIA as part of the @BarackObama WH effort to target domestic political enemies https://t.co/CizWSlZAtB

Former Senior Fellow, Institute for National Strategic Studies, Director NDU Press, and USMC colonel known by the nom de plume of The Tropical Cow tweeted :
“I worked for Brennan down-range. One of the worst 6 months of my life. Total 100% political hack. Never underestimate a bureaucrat scorned. His word was not taken seriously at a pre-campaign meeting and he was not consulted further. End of story, they thought.”

Pete Meyer, a former federal employee, worked with Brennan and didn’t like him very much;
Yeah, a lot of GS management could be described this way. After draining the swamp, we need to power wash the walls to get the stench out. After 17 years at 26 Fed, NYC, I know of what @BryanDeanWright speaks. Indict Brennan and Clapper, see who flips first. https://t.co/7UUf9He8kJ

And for those who think Wright’s criticism is based on politics, think again. A USN Veteran who worked in Military Intelligence tweeted:
Folks, Bryan Dean Wright is a Democrat who worked at CIA – who has been saying same thing I’ve been saying since 2014 about John Brennan. https://t.co/hUhhP8tNxd
— EconChick/IntelChick (@MikayesFiona) May 21, 2018
Wright also describes himself as “center-left” on his Twitter bio.
As we reported earlier, Brennan went nuts after President Trump demanded an investigation into allegations that the FBI and/or the DOJ infiltrated and surveilled the Trump campaign for political purposes.
He demanded GOP leaders stop Trump
Senator McConnell & Speaker Ryan: If Mr. Trump continues along this disastrous path, you will bear major responsibility for the harm done to our democracy. You do a great disservice to our Nation & the Republican Party if you continue to enable Mr. Trump’s self-serving actions. https://t.co/uAhgL6wfIC
— John O. Brennan (@JohnBrennan) May 20, 2018
He also issued what some see as a thinly-veiled threat:
“Any man can make mistakes, but only an idiot persists in his error.”
Marcus Tullius Cicero, (106-43 BC)
— John O. Brennan (@JohnBrennan) May 20, 2018
And it seems that Brennan isn’t just some random never-Trumper upset that Hillary Clinton lost.
As Rusty Weiss noted, former US attorney Joe DiGenova believes the effort to frame Trump was led by none other than former CIA Director John Brennan.
Trump, meanwhile, has turned the heat up on Brennan:
“John Brennan is panicking. He has disgraced himself, he has disgraced the Country, he has disgraced the entire Intelligence Community. He is the one man who is largely responsible for the destruction of American’s faith in the Intelligence Community and in some people at the top of the FBI,” the president wrote on Twitter.
“’Brennan started this entire debacle about President Trump. We now know that Brennan had detailed knowledge of the (phony) Dossier…he knows about the Dossier, he denies knowledge of the Dossier, he briefs the Gang of 8 on the Hill about the Dossier, which they then used to start an investigation about Trump,” he added.
“’It is that simple. This guy is the genesis of this whole Debacle. This was a Political hit job, this was not an Intelligence Investigation. Brennan has disgraced himself, he’s worried about staying out of Jail.’ Dan Bongino,” Trump said.

The Hill noted: “While Trump was using Bongino’s comments, he added his own commentary by labeling the controversial dossier ‘phony.’”
