If the situation on January 6 had not gone off the rails, the next step would have been the orderly steps of ratifying the election results… instead, we had chaos.

Democrats have a long history of challenging the electoral results of this or that state in the process of ratification on January 6. But without someone in the Senate willing to cosign those objections, such tactics are nothing more than theatrical bluster.

In 2021, with real questions about the legitimacy of the process in certain states still unresolved, there was a co-signer. So, this time, the process could move ahead. This left a real possibility that the Electoral College would not resolve the process but through one of the other mechanisms the Constitution provides for. That could have paved a constitutionally valid path for a Trump win.

That scenario provides the backdrop for why people like Dan Bongino look at some unanswered questions from January 6 and wonder if there was a ‘Plan B’ (or maybe it was Plan A?) to keep those debates from happening.

As it played out, a crowd busting into the Capital gave Congress sufficient motivation to abandon that process. But what about those mysterious pipe bombs? Together with the inability to find out who planted those bombs (or built that gallows) as well as all kinds of deleted cell phone data and email chains from within the Secret Service. And what about the bizarre failures of security camera footage on the one camera that matters?

The panic wave was spurred by this bomb threat.

We still don’t have answers for who or how.

But a few stalwarts like her have NOT given up on this story.
