IT’S OFFICIAL: Impeachment Investigation Is On’… Dems In FULL Damage Control Mode

If there had been any doubt the GOP could get the votes needed to push ahead with an impeachment inquiry — roughly analogous to the criminal investigation step before the State decides whether to press charges — Hunter’s grand-standing incident sealed the deal.

We now have the votes in the House to authorize an impeachment investigation that falls within the list of enumerated oversight duties of the House’s role in Congress.

Bribery is impeachable. Treason is impeachable. Others have pointed to failing to uphold the law and trampling the division of powers as impeachable.

All true. But this vote is crucial because it cuts through the BS stonewalling and gamesmanship that we saw with the refusal to turn over documents or — in Hunter’s case — refusal to show up.

Joe Biden wanted the DOJ to throw the book at Bannon for doing precisely what Hunter had just done. Even now, he’s appealing a 4-month prison sentence.

The vote was held, and we are officially moving ahead with an impeachment inquiry. Subpoenas, witnesses, and a strong position for shutting down any future White House or DOJ stonewalling attempts.

That won’t stop them from trying to run out the clock. But the precedents many of these very same Democrats set over the last 4 years don’t leave Biden’s obstructionist defenders much of a leg to stand on.

The House Judiciary released an official 30-page explanation for what is and is not intended by this investigation.

It would serve Conservatives well if we know what the document ACTUALLY says so we can pop Democrat lies about the content as we encounter them.

Speaking of Democrat lies, some usual suspects have come out with doozies.

Here they are so we can laugh at them together.

Here’s Adam Schiff.

He once told America that he had personally seen ‘more than circumstantial evidence’ incriminating Trump of shady connections to the Kremlin. He also tried to sell America a ‘dramatized reading’ of Trump’s phone call with Zelenskyy in his attempt to impeach Trump the first time. If he had such a smoking gun, you’d think he would have tipped off Mueller about where to find it.

That plan fell apart when Trump released the transcript so the world could compare it to his Bull***t dramatic reading.

Swalwell was part of that same impeachment effort. He’s best remembered for trying to bring nuclear weapons into a 2A rights conversation, farting loudly on TV, and being censured for having an alleged sexual relationship with a Chinese Spy while serving on the Intel Committee.

He has thoughts on whether there is any merit to the investigation — notice we didn’t rush straight to impeachment like he did with Trump.

Perhaps Swalwell doesn’t realize there is legal precedent to say that the criteria for bribery charges does not require anyone to personally profit from a transaction if people close to him profit. That makes sense, as sophisticated workarounds are often used to make tracing dirty money difficult. This includes payments that go indirectly to friends and family rather than to the offender himself.

With his exposure to espionage and spycraft, you’d think he would know something like that.

They’ve trotted out all the dog-whistle buzzwords.
