California’s Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom has just bought a $9.1 million mansion and some are wondering how a man on a government salary could afford to do that. One word might answer that question: Democrats.

As governor, Newsom makes $201,680 a year. And even though that is the highest salary for any U.S. governor in the country, $200K isn’t enough to afford a $9.1 million house.

Apparently the home was owned by the cousin of JB Pritzker, another radical, left-wing Democrat governor. Now we know taht Newsom has bought the house with no sourcing, no seasoning of funds, and through some shady LLC.

Per SFGate:

Gov. Gavin Newsom just bought a sleek six-bedroom mansion tucked away on a leafy road in a wealthy Marin County town, around 20 miles north of San Francisco. The home, on Woodland Road in Kentfield, sold for $9.1 million last week, records show, and the buyer is a limited liability company formed by Newsom and his family, the San Francisco Chronicle first reported.

According to the listing, the 5,609 square-foot home’s “extraordinary luxury” includes floor-to-ceiling windows, LaCantina folding glass doors and a chef’s kitchen. The property’s “resort-like” exterior features a swimming pool and spa and “inspiring” views of Mount Tamalpais.

The California governor, and possible 2028 presidential candidate, appears to have gotten a good deal, too: The home was first listed at $9.5 million in September, before being relisted with a $1 million price cut last month. Newsom’s office would not confirm the purchase but told SFGATE on Monday that “to ensure continuity in their children’s education, the family continues to split their time between Sacramento and Marin counties.”

Oddly, the LLC was formed only two days before Newsom used it to buy his fancy new home.

Now, remembering that Newsom only makes $200K a year, one has to wonder how he intends to pay the $117,000 annual property taxes?

Yeah. We can imagine.
