Now Al Gore will be able to fit in with his Democratic Party friends who are in mourning about the Muller decision. The former V.P. who claims to have invented the internet is in mourning for a different reason. A key glacier in Greenland is growing again after shrinking for several years, according to NASA. In the end, this will cost the former V.P. some cash.
“The Jakobshavn (pronounced YA-cob-shawv-en) glacier around 2012 was retreating about 1.8 miles (3 kilometers) and thinning nearly 130 feet (almost 40 meters) annually,” the Associated Press reported. “But it started growing again at about the same rate in the past two years, according to a study in Monday’s Nature Geoscience. Study authors and outside scientists think this is temporary.”
“That was kind of a surprise. We kind of got used to a runaway system,” said Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland ice and climate scientist Jason Box, the AP noted. “The good news is that it’s a reminder that it’s not necessarily going that fast. But it is going.”
Box added, “arguably the most important Greenland glacier because it discharges the most ice in the northern hemisphere. For all of Greenland, it is king.”
As with most of the climate change computer models, when one actually “looks out the window” to see what is really happening we learn that “Mother Nature” has more influence than software. Indeed as Pierre Gosselin explains in his excellent climate blog No Tricks Zone, Arctic Ice Has been growing rather than cooling. Apparently, mother nature is trying to humiliate the fear mongers:
Arctic sea ice has not been cooperating at all with the doomsday scenarios of the global warming alarmists. Some of them said it should have gone ice-free in late summer by now.
A recent chart shows that late summer Arctic sea ice volume has GROWN over the past 12 years, and not plummeted as the alarmists once warned:

Note how predictions made back in 2007 by “leading experts” were completely wrong, and sea ice volume instead has been rising modestly, thus totally surprising and shaming the doomsday prophets.
Yet today the media as a whole continue to lend credibility to these totally failed experts. Is it only natural that citizens are distrustful and regard much climate reporting as “fake news”?
One thing the media forgets to not is that Al Gore has investigated heavily into climate change-related products. The more you believe, the more he makes. Thankfully Mother Nature is not a believer. She looks at Man-Bear-Pig the same way the Chicago PD looks at Jessie Smollett.
The polar ice has been holding up well for more than 10 years. The earlier predictions are totally wrong. And in historical context, there is more ice today at the poles than at most times over the past 10,000 years.
Scientists say that the cooling in the North Atlantic waters caused the glacier to begin growing again.
“The water in Disko Bay, where Jakobshavn hits the ocean, is about 3.6 degrees cooler (2 degrees Celsius) than a few years ago, study authors said,” the AP added.
Naturally, all these scientists rushed to note that this “may” only be temporary and that global warming will “likely” resume soon, Naturally! But the fact that global temperatures haven’t increased in nearly two decades makes one doubt their prediction.
University of Washington ice scientist Ian Joughin insisted that global warming will resume soon enough, adding, “to a large extent, a temporary blip. Downturns do occur in the stock market, but overall the long-term trajectory is up. This is really the same thing.”
When was the last time the stock market crashed for 20-straight years?
In generations, past people assumed that a drought was proof the gods didn’t like them. Now the same sort of people are bowing at the feet of the gods of global warming despite that droughts are decreasing.
In April 2017 USA Today reported that the lowest percentage of U.S. land ever is currently suffering from drought conditions according to the U.S. Drought Monitor report. But how can this be the climate change hypothesis supporters say the earth is warming and causing droughts ????
Granted while all those who believe in the holy scriptures of global warming were saying man-made climate change was causing the droughts reasonable people were pointing to the testimony of Professor Roger Pielke Jr before the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.
“It is misleading and just plain incorrect to claim that disasters associated with hurricanes, tornadoes, floods or droughts have increased on climate timescales either in the United States or globally,”
Or that in May of 2014 Professor Pielke published a graph that shows the intensity of the planet’s droughts from 1982 to 2012. The chart shows that neither droughts nor their intensity has seen a growth trend during those 30 years.
The truth is, they haven’t a clue why any of this happens. It just happens because the climate naturally changes,
But, isn’t it amusing that everything they see that goes against their narrative is proof that… their story is still right?
Absolutely everything. It is far more proof that global warming is a religion, as opposed to science. Everything is “proof” of global warming. During this past winter when we had the extra cold temperatures of the polar vortex, they blamed the record cold on global warming. How convenient.
