Apparently even the folks in Biden’s “home town,” Scranton, Pennsylvania, are sick and tired of having Joe and his name hanging around like a foul stink.

Town officials are reportedly working to have Joe Biden’s name removed from a segment of an expressway that was named in his honor only a few years ago (2021).

So, what was the town’s last straw with Uncle Joe? It wasn’t his act of importing millions of drug dealers, rapists, murderers and other criminals. It wasn’t the worst economy in decades. It wasn’t his weaponization of the federal government to destroy his enemies (who are Americans). It wasn’t his failed foreign policy. And it wasn’t fascist effort to censor Americans’ free speech. But the reason was bad enough, granted.

It appears that the town fathers of Scranton were infuriated when Biden pardoned Luzerne County Judge Michael Conahan, who had been convicted of using his bench to convict juveniles so they would end up in a private prison while he got $2.8 million in kickback payments for doing so.

The pardon moved Pennsylvania Republican State Rep. Brenda Pugh to call for Biden’s name to be scrapped from the expressway.

“Conahan’s conduct is forever a blight on Pennsylvania and is a slap in the face to the victims and their families who deserve justice to be served for his atrocious crimes,” Pugh wrote.

“His clemency places complicity and a stamp of approval on his behavior. Children are among the most vulnerable Pennsylvanians. This decision is nothing short of a travesty, and his clemency is a miscarriage of justice.”

Judge Conahan’s conviction forced the state to throw out 4,000 juvenile convictions because he tainted every one of these decisions.

Seems like a good reason to banish Biden’s name from the expressway to me.
