The Department of Defense has canceled a promotion for an admiral who promoted drag queen shows aboard the USS Ronald Reagan, sources say.
Admiral Michael Donnelly was about to be promoted to his 3rd star and command the entire 7th fleet, but now his career has stalled out after he promoted transgenderism and other woke foolishness.
According to the Daily Wire:
Donnelly served as commanding officer of the aircraft carrier from April 2016 to September 2018, during which time Yeoman 2nd Class Joshua Kelley performed as a drag queen under the name “Harpy Daniels” at a department-sanctioned “Morale, Welfare, and Recreation” event on the aircraft carrier.
The Trump administration had previously announced that Donnelly was being nominated for the promotion. But after Secretary Pete Hegseth was queried about the admiral’s woke agenda, that promotion was rescinded.
Donnelly was the captain of the Ronald Reagan in 2017 and 2018 when he sanctioned the drag shows planned by the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of the ship.

Donnelly was also nominated for higher command in 2023 during the Biden administration, but Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville put a hold on the nomination.
