Vice President Kamala Harris and her left-wing compatriots are blatantly lying about Florida’s new school program meant to teach children about slavery.
Harris insisted that Florida was pushing “revisionist history” with its curriculum on slavery.
“Just yesterday in the state of Florida, they decided middle school students will be taught that enslaved people benefited from slavery,” Harris said at a convention for the traditionally Black sorority Delta Sigma Theta Inc. “They insult us in an attempt to gaslight us, and we will not stand for it.”
“They dare to push propaganda to our children. This is the United States of America. We’re not supposed to do that,” Harris said.
“Adults know what slavery really involved. It involved rape. It involved torture. It involved taking a baby from its mother. It involved some of the worst examples of… depriving people of humanity in our world,” she added.
“How is it that anyone could suggest that amid these atrocities, there was any benefit to being subjected to this level of dehumanization?”
Fox News notes that the curriculum states, “Instruction includes how slaves developed skills which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit,” leading to countless critics accusing Harris of “brazenly lying” and “misleading” the American people.
But Charles W Cooke of the anti-Trump National Review went through all of Florida’s new teaching aids and found no instance of Harris’ claims that the teacher tools pushed lies about slavery. Zero.
I read through FL’s new curriculum. It is difficult to convey the astonishing extent to which Kamala Harris is lying about it. To illustrate it, I've copied and pasted all 191 of its references to slavery, the slave trade, abolition, and civil rights. https://t.co/9eZnAqYCBV

Cooke called Harris’ claims a “brazen lie. It’s an astonishing lie. It’s an evil lie. It is so untrue — so deliberately and cynically misleading — that, in a sensible political culture, Harris would be obligated to issue an apology.”
The curriculum does not in any way say that slaves “benefitted” from slavery. Nor does the curriculum state that slavery was beneficial in general.
It does state that slaves were taught skills, but that does not mean nor is it stated that slaves benefitted from slavery.
….Dr.William B. Allen….longtime academic, former chairman of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, and a member of Florida’s African American History Standards Workgroup called claims made by Vice President Kamala Harris in highly-publicized remarks last week “categorically false.”
(…) Asked how he would respond to critics of the new standards, Allen replied that “the only criticism I’ve encountered so far is a single one that was articulated by the vice president, and which was an error.
Yesterday, @abcnews aired a very small section of their interview with a member of Florida’s African American History Standards Workgroup, Dr. William B. Allen.
Here’s more of the interview, where Dr. Allen debunks @VP’s narrative and calls her criticism “categorically false.”🧵 pic.twitter.com/hPFbKNZPs1

After Cackling, Kamala spewed her falsehoods about one line in a 200-page report, and the liberal media jumped for joy as they joined Kamala in her false attacks.
As usual, liberals ignored people who had a different opinion from theirs, like Dr.William B. Allen, who is a scholar about human rights.
They don’t want to know that the Florida curriculum teaches straight facts about the life of slaves. The one line they didn’t like was one sentence of a 200-page report. And that one line is being misinterpreted by V.P. Harris.
