The disastrous Joe Biden pushed out a $3 BILLION plan to put all mailmen in electric vehicles. But we ended up getting only 93 EVs for all that money.
The tax dollars that Biden plowed into the plan was supposed to outfit the U.S. Post Office with a 50,000 EV fleet to replace most of its gas-powered vehicles.
We ended up with a whopping 93.
Iowa Republican Senator Joni Ernst reported:
“Biden’s $3 billion EV fleet for @USPS is lost in the mail! Just 93 of 50,000 vehicles have been delivered. I am canceling the order and returning the unspent money to sender: the taxpayers!”

Mind you, it isn’t bad that all we have is this tiny, useless amount of new EVs, because EVs are simply not conducive to what the USPS does. So, as far as the fleet goes, it is good we didn’t get rid of all the gas-powered trucks. That would have been an even bigger disaster.
But that doesn’t smooth over the fact that Biden wasted $3 BILLION of our tax dollars on this stupid idea of electrifying our USPS fleet.
