It was another Biden era travesty of justice when an Internet jokster was convicted and jailed in 2023 for posting a mean Twitter post about Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election.

Back during the 2016 presidential election, Douglass Mackey had posted a funny Internet post telling Democrats to “vote for Hillary by text.”

His Twitter post had a picture of a woman with a pro-Clinton sign and included the message: “Avoid the Line. Vote from Home. Text ‘Hillary’ to 59925[.] Vote for Hillary and be a part of history.”

Two days after Biden was inaugurated in 2021, crooked federal prosecutors indicted him and said he had engaged in “election interference” because, of course, there is no way to vote by text.

Mackey defended himself saying that it was just a funny meme and also cited his First Amendment right to free speech.

But he was convicted and sentenced by the crooked courts even though prosecutors could not find a single person who was fooled by Mackey’s post into thinking they voted for Hillary via text and, therefore, didn’t have to turn out to vote on Election Day.

Mackey was sentenced to seven months in prison. For an Internet joke.

But now, the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals has overturned his conviction finding that the evidence was “insufficient” to convict him.

The court wrote that “the evidence was insufficient to prove that he knowingly agreed to join the charged conspiracy. We agree. Accordingly, we REVERSE Mackey’s conviction and REMAND the case to the district court with instructions to enter a judgment of acquittal.”

Luckily for Mackey, his sentence had been delayed pending the outcome of his appeal. But now he won’t have to serve it at all.

Justice has finally been served.
