Ronald Reagan would have said, “Well…there you go again.” During Thursday’s debate [score]Bernie Sanders [/score]pointed out that[score] Hillary Clinton[/score] was the candidate of the Democratic Party establishment. Her response was that she can’t be establishment because she has a vagina:

Well, look, I’ve got to just jump in here because, honestly, Senator Sanders is the only person who I think would characterize me, a woman running to be the first woman president, as exemplifying the establishment.

That statement is ridiculous on so many levels. Let’s start with the fact that the person heading the Party, Debbie Wasserman Shultz is a woman, can’t get any more establishment than that. Senators Dianne Feinstein, Barbara Boxer, Amy Kobuchar, Claire McCaskill, and Patty Murray for example, all female, all Democrats, all establishment.  And what about Nancy Pelosi, is Hillary Clinton trying to tell us that the minority/former speaker of the house is not establishment?

And as for Hillary herself. Her time working as a young lawyer on a congressional committee, her years in the Senate, her tenure as secretary of state, two presidential campaigns, and her marriage and role as principal adviser to a U.S. president does not make her establishment. Heck Ms. Clinton’s picture belongs next to the word establishment in the dictionary.

Look at where she gets her campaign donations, the below was pulled from Open Secrets on February 5th, these are some of Hillary Clinton’s largest donor categories and how much they give her. I chose these because these are traditional Democratic Party donors….all establishment.

Once again when faced with an issue Hillary Clinton deflects.  Ever since her days as a young lawyer on the Watergate committee (which she was fired from) through today, Hillary Clinton has been part of the establishment. The fact that the party has protected her candidacy with few debates hidden on Saturday nights until she needed more debate, proves she is part of the establishment. The fact that Elijah Cummings is more interested in protecting Hillary Clinton than finding out the truth in the Benghazi committee shows she is establishment.

I would dare say that despite her female parts, Hillary Clinton is the quintessential establishment candidate.
