In the face of Joe Biden’s failure to help American hurricane victims, Donald Trump stepped up to launch a fundraising campaign to help his fellow Americans and the amount he brought in is amazing.

Despite Biden’s failures, Trump launched a GoFundMe campaign this year officially putting his name on the campaign. And now it has raised more than $8 million.

In fact, Trump’s campaign was the single biggest effort for all of 2024 on the GoFundMe platform.

“President Trump’s Hurricane Helene fundraiser has emerged as the top fundraiser of the year on GoFundMe, raising over $8 million to help communities impacted by the hurricane thanks to immense support from nearly 50,000 people across all 50 U.S. states and more than 51 countries during this critical time,” GoFundMe told FOX Business.

GoFundMe added that the money was distributed to actual people on the ground in affected hurricane strike areas and went to small organizations including Samaritan’s Purse, Water Mission, and Sweetwater Mission.

Several high-profile names dug into their pockets for the campaign including UFC president Dana White ($100K), former Sen. Kelly Loeffler ($500,000), the Bass Pro Shop company ($100K), and hedge fund billionaire Bill Ackman ($100,000).

But the bulk of the money came from small donors all across the county.

“This was not only a testament to President Trump’s promise to put America First, but Americans’ willingness to come together and help one another,” the Trump-Vance Transition Team said. “Alongside President Trump, Americans across the country united to provide relief for these victims and their families.”
