Woke, former astronaut Mae Jemison got herself all upset when a CBS reporter used the word “mankind” during the network’s coverage of this week’s Blue Origin flight.
Appearing as an “expert” on the air as CBS host Vladimir Duthiers was speaking of the flight, Jemison got her idiotic dander up as Duthiers noted how the flight would benefit “mankind.”
As a bit of background, this particular flight had a pack of botox-infused female “celebrities” as the “crew.” I put “crew” in quotes because everyone has been calling them a “crew” when they really are just millionaire passengers who paid for the privilege to take a quick ride to the edge of space. They weren’t “crewing” anything.
The eight-woman “crew” included TV anchor Gayle King, media personality Lauren Sanchez, and pop singer Katy Perry. But the flight was automated, so no one was crewing anything at all. They were all just along for the ride.
Anyway, apparently Jamison got her silly wokeness all piqued when the word “mankind” was used for this so-called all-female “crew.”
“Explain to our audience why even a trip like this one, [why] all the trips we take into space benefit mankind?” Duthiers asked the work ex-astronaut.
“Uh, so it benefits humankind and I’m gonna keep correcting the ‘mankind’ and the ‘manmade’ and the ‘man-missions’ because this is exactly what this mission is about is expanding the perspective of who does space,” Jemison pointedly replied.
How childish.
