The world’s largest airline pilot union is jumping feet first into the stupidity of wokeness by urging the industry to stop using words loke “cockpit” because they aren’t “inclusive” enough.
The Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l, which represents over 70,000 pilots worldwide, wants the airline industry to revamp many of the terms used to describe its business because they aren’t woke enough for the empty heads in woke central, according to Fox News.
“Inclusive language in communications is essential to our union’s solidarity and collective strength and is an important factor in maintaining flight safety,” states a new guide from the risible union. “The purpose of this language guide is to offer examples of terms and phrases that promote inclusion and equity.”
The union wants to put an end to the word “cockpit,” for one, because it seems “too masculine” to them.
The union also wants to eliminate “man power” or to “man a flight.”
Next, the union made an attempt to police how its members speak to each other and is demanding that members stop saying “guys” in colloquial speech… i.e. “hey, you guys.”
The APPA is also demanding an end to the use of “mother” and “father” because it is too sexist.
Why all this childishness, because not switching to more woke-speak will surely upset “women, transgender people and people with different gender identities.”
“Flying is the safest mode of transportation in the world thanks in large part to airline pilots, professionals that are all held to the highest training and qualification standards. There are real threats to aviation safety like efforts to replace pilots with automation or lower training and experience standards, but opening the doors of opportunity to ensure we have a robust supply of qualified aviators isn’t one of them,” ALPA said in a statement.
It is more empty culture wars being visited on normal people by woke religionists. And it should be resisted.
