Hollywood star and all around bon vivant William Shatner had a brief but pleasant discussion with Elon Musk on X recently… and then the distempered, hate-filled leftists showed up.
You will recall, of course, that back in 2021, Shatner, famed for being Star Trek’s Captain Kirk, was a member of a Blue Origin flight that took him right to the edge of space. He didn’t get into open space, but he did get right to it.
Later he claimed he had profound feelings about his flight to space. Some of what he said many months after the flight are a bit hard to believe and are contradictory compared to what he said immediately after landing, but that is a discussion for another time.
Suffice to say, he has something in common with Elon, and that is actual space travel.
With all this in mind, Shatner jumped to his X account on Wednesday to reply to a fan who asked him if Elon or Space X asked him if he wants a seat on their rocket to Mars.
“Have I ever said anything bad about him? No matter how murky the present may seem, the future is very bright and I believe Elon Musk represents the future,” Shatner wrote, concluding with, “And no, I’m not going to Mars.”
Have I ever said anything bad about him?🤔🤷🏼

Well, it just so happens that Musk saw Shatner’s post and he responded to the Star Trek star with a message reading, “Hop in, let’s go to Mars!”
Hop in, let’s go to Mars!

Shatner joked back, saying, “Only if you are there in the seat next to me, my friend… oh, and I get a snazzy jacket too!”

Elon again responded with a pair of rocket emojis.
But then the scumbag leftists jumped in to attack Shatner for daring to be nice to Elon Musk. Specifically, some nobody rock band dude named Brendan B. Brown who slammed Shatner for talking to Musk.
But Shatner wasn’t interested in just scrolling on. He delivered a knockdown blast to this jerk:
Here’s a question you should think about; how are you moving this world forward?Seems all you are doing is sitting on your high saddle and telling others what they should do. If someone else is doing something to move towards a future and you condemn them but don’t do anything… https://t.co/J2478wCcfY

Ouch. A slapdown from Capt. Kirk.
