National jewelry chain Zales seems to have launched a transgender Mother’s Day ad on streaming TV services such as PlutoTV a week ahead of the holiday meant to celebrate motherhood.
The ad features a young woman sitting next to an older person as the two sit cross-legged in a big city subway train. The camera closes in on the fancy jewelry the pair are wearing before the camera closes in on their matching heart necklaces as the words “Got it for my Mama” appears on the screen.
The older person sitting next to the young, pretty blond appears to be a transgender “Mama” in a bright red angora sweater.

This video ad does not appear to have been posted on Zales’ social media accounts. It is only being played on streaming services as far as this reporter can tell.
The video ad is not on Zales’ X account, nor its Instagram account. And it is not on its Youtube page, either.
However, a much shorter version that only offers a brief look at the two figures in the subway car does appear on Zales’ Youtube page:
Notice how the two blonds are shown only briefly in the Youtube ad compared to the ad shown on PlutoTV.
So, kind readers, what do you think? Is this a transgender ad for Mother’s Day? Is Zales trying to hide the ad from general viewing as much as possible to minimize the backlash — but giving itself bragging rights that it is “representing” for transgender lobbyists?
You decide.
