The leftists at USAID tried very hard to launch a coup against Donald Trump last week. And it didn’t go well.
Last Tuesday, acting USAID Administrator Jason Gray placed 60 senior members of the agency on leave after he saw that some of them had been conspiring to get around Trump’s executive orders.
USAID is supposed to administer humanitarian relief overseas, but it has been accused of misusing our tax dollars and giving it to terrorists, not to mention providing cash to groups that have worked to censor American free speech online and finding bioweapons research.
In his memo Gray said, “We have identified several actions within USAID that appear to be designed to circumvent the president’s executive orders and the mandate from the American people.“ As a result, we have placed a number of USAID employees on administrative leave with full pay and benefits until further notice while we complete our analysis of these actions.”
This occurred after Director of Employee and Labor Relations Nick Gottlieb tried to countermand the order putting the staffers on administrative leave, claiming it was illegal. He also refused the order to terminate the employees.
Remarkable email I was forwarded from inside USAID, appears to show the head of their Employee and Labor Relations division claiming to have been put on administrative leave for refusing to carry out illegal firings ordered by DOGE and political appointees pic.twitter.com/yd0sDna256

Guess who is out, though.
Yep. Nick Gottlieb.
Fired, gone, finito.
Trump 2.0 is taking no prisoners. And it’s glorious.
Let’s hope Trump goes ahead and puts an end to this dangerous organization that acts against U.S. interests.
