The Iowa concession speech delivered by the billionaire bloviator of birtherism, Donald Trump was surprisingly gracious. Without his usual nastiness, he thanked the people of Iowa and even joked he wanted to buy a farm in the state. A more cynical man (like me) respond to that with, “Gee, a great idea for a TV show. A rich New Yorker with a foreign-born wife who speaks with an accent running a farm. They could call it ‘Trump Acres.'”
After a fifteen-hour twitter hiatus Trump lost all his graciousness. He started out with a fairly nice tweet, but continued on to say the experts predicted he wouldn’t do well in Iowa. Hey Donald for the past few months experts were saying you were going to win…so that was a lie:
Then he claimed he didn’t really try to win Iowa because they told him he couldn’t do well. Who told you Donald? All the reports I saw said you were going to kick ass and take no prisoners. Are you saying you spent little there? So far you have spent little everywhere (well except for the hats, you spent $1.4 million on the hats. Did your team recommend you spend less than nothing on that pathetic Iowa ground game or were you too cheap? After all many observers say you lost because your ground game sucked.
In the end he says the media didn’t treat him fairly. Six months of free TV time, six months of dominating the coverage of the primary season. The news networks let you suck all the air out of the coverage leaving the other candidates with next to nothing….and they didn’t treat you fairly??? If anyone should complain about unfair treatment it should be the other candidates, they had to purchase their TV time.
Go make your speech, I think the networks should ignore it and talk to the other candidates. That is what they should have done with your nasty attacks on the other campaigns and your constant bullying of every woman who crossed you.
At least the Donald likes to spread the venom around. He also blamed the voters. You see they didn’t give him credit for self-funding his campaign. “Woe is me..I spent all this money out of my billionaire pockets.”
Hey Mr. Trump no one asked you to self fund your campaign. Besides you started a superPAC but canceled it because you got caught coordinating the PAC and the campaign. Perhaps you should get Mexico to pay for it!
Folks that’s one of the problems when a thin-skinned narcissist runs for president. This is the guy who bragged about how rich he was, and now he whines that he’s spending some of that money. Of course the voters don’t give a rat’s ass about you spending some of your wealth you self-absorbed bully. We are too busy trying to figure out how to get food on our table, and how we are going to protect terrorists from coming into our neighborhoods and blowing up our families.
Mr. Trump if it’s not worth it, stop whining just don’t do it! Pick another field to feed your super-sized ego like star in a TV comedy.
