Senator Max Baucus (D-Montana) has a message for his constituents, that Obmacare bill that he sponsored and pushed down the throats of the American people over their objections, wasn’t really important enough to read. Or maybe protecting the interests of his constituents wasn’t important enough to make him read the Obamacare bill. The end result is he did not read it because he said it would have been a waste of his time.
According to Flathead Beacon, a local newspaper, at a Town Hall Monday int he Montana Town of Libby Bacus told his constituents that the idea of him reading a bill allocating nearly $1 trillion of federal funds is “a waste of time:”
Judy Matott asked Baucus if he would work to improve Libby’s image, and then asked him and Sebelius, “if either of you read the health care bill before it was passed and if not, that is the most despicable, irresponsible thing.”
“I don’t think you want me to waste my time to read every page of the health care bill. You know why? It’s statutory language,” Baucus said. “We hire experts.”
Do you think Cubans are fighting for healthcare or freedom from Communism?
Maybe those “experts” should be elected to the Senate because they are doing Baucus’ job.
In response to another question asking if Obamacare was Constitutional, Baucus compared it to programs like Social Security and Medicare that were unpopular when passed but have proven beneficial to Americans over the long term.
But how would he know…he didn’t read the bill?
“It’s not perfect, nothing’s perfect, but I’m telling you, ma’am, it’s a good start,” Baucus said. “Mark my words, several years from now you’re going to look back and say, ‘eh, maybe it isn’t so bad.’”
“Don’t think so,” Matott replied.
Sausage making is starting to look good by comparison.
This is another example of the arrogance of the Progressives who run our country, the people are not important enough for them to read the bill. Heck they wouldn’t understand it anyway. This is the same Max Baucus who said the purpose of Obamacare was redistribution of income and showed up to one health care debate seemingly inebriated. Its all about pushing the progressive agenda and no regard for the people who put them in office.
