A new report finds that the Democrats in states across the country have illegally registered nearly 30 percent of ineligible non-citizens to vote.
The study from Just Facts finds that between 10 percent and 27 percent of non-citizen adults in the U.S. are illegally registered to vote. This could potentially mean that two to five million non-citizens are registered to vote illegally.
Just Facts also blasts so-called “fact checker” Glenn Kessler who tied to knock down the reports.
Beyond portraying minimums as best estimates, Kessler also misleads his readers with a half-truth that the 2014 paper estimated “6.4 percent of noncitizens voted in 2008 and 2.2 percent voted in 2010.” What Kessler fails to reveal is that 2010 was a mid-term election, and Richman explained in Kessler’s newspaper that “these are the patterns one would expect to see if the measures retained validity and non-citizens were a group mobilized more in presidential election years than midterms.”
In another ruse, Kessler criticizes and links to a study by Just Facts while coyly describing it as the work of “one researcher.” This avoids the scholarly track record of the organization and the fact that two Ph.D.’s who specialize in data analytics vetted the study and described it as “methodologically sound,” “fair in its conclusions,” and “credible.”
Lisa De Pasquale added:
In the 2024 elections, 5% to 13% of these registered non-citizens could vote, favoring Democrats, of course. Many states have proposed measures aimed to require proof of citizenship for voter registration. However, loopholes persist, allowing non-citizens to register and vote. Data suggests it could significantly impact election outcomes if not addressed. It also puts puts all those close battleground state polls into perspective given the traditional definition of “likely voters.”
Our election system is hopelessly corrupted.
