The desperate gamble that Biden-connected associates apparently launched with Schiff’s help to destroy the President missed Trump but hit … Joe Biden? Joe & Hunter Biden
Before we get to the fresh information, let’s briefly recap a few details.
How We Got Here.
By making that Presidental phone call to Ukraine the lynchpin of the accusations against him, the Democrat operatives made a fatal miscalculation.
They put Trump’s interest in Ukranian corruption allegations at the center of the controversy.
That of course means, they inadvertently put Burisma and the Biden family at the very core of Trump’s legal defense the impeachment proceedings.
All Trump needed to do to disprove that claim of ‘attacking a political rival’ was to provide a just cause for the President to be concerned about potential corrupt dealings between Burisma, Joe Biden, and the leveraging of their relationship with his son.
As far as misfires go, that’s a doozy.
Despite all the squirming and squealing we’ve heard from Schiff, all Trump has to do is give something that amounts to ‘probable cause’ of suspecting some manner of corrupt dealings between a corrupt Oligarch’s company, and the White House connected man they chose to employ when they rand into legal difficulties with European nations.
The Triggering Event
It was nothing less than that video of Joe bragging about the power he held over Ukraine to fire an official that raised red flags about this connection. “Sonofabitch.”
Conflicts Of Interest
We know it was seen as a potential conflict of interest. One of the witnesses called by the Democrats testify that he had registered his concerns about the conflict of interest to Biden, and nothing was done about it. More than that, the Democrats’ own beloved Ambassador Yovanovitch testified that, in preparation for her Senate confirmation hearings, the Obama administration specifically coached her on the potential conflict of interest of Hunter Biden working for Burisma.
John Kerry’s stepson, prudently, wanted no part of that business relationship.
Joe COULD have asked for a different portfolio to be ‘point man’ on. He did not. He remained in a conflict and the fact that Burisma was being investigated by the very prosecutor Joe’s ultimatum called to fire IS the open question.
The motives are — at best — unclear.
It isn’t as though Biden is unaware of the relevance of such conflicts of interest, either. He’s had people prosecuted for it.

This has all the hallmarks of a double-standard.
It looks suspiciously like they are implying: “As Insider Democrats, WE can do it, but THEY cannot. Because WE are connected insiders enjoying the perks of power, and you are the hoi polloi, the unwashed masses.”

The company has said it had wanted to strengthen corporate governance. According to two sources close to the company, Burisma was also looking to attract international investment as well as expand overseas.
Oleksandr Onyshchenko, a businessman and former member of the Ukrainian parliament who knows the Burisma founder, said it had been Zlochevsky’s idea to appoint Biden as a director. “It was to protect (the company)” at a time when it was facing investigations, said Onyshchenko, who left the country in 2016. In the run up to Biden’s appointment, a popular uprising led to the removal of the Russian-backed Yanukovich in February 2014.

Unless we are expected to now believe that Reuters is somehow part of Schiff’s ‘debunked’ conspiracy of Russian disinformation, this is by no means either a Republican or Muscovian puppet Outfit. At a minimum, Reuters is a neutral — if not explicitly Democrat-friendly — news source.
Trump doesn’t NEED to provide Lady-Macbeth or Telltale Heart levels of soul-destroying guilt. He need only show that a reasonable person might infer that this behavior doesn’t pass the sniff test.
