What a huge surprise! On Sunday, President Joe Biden pardoned his son Hunter. The pardon can end up hurting Joe more than it will help Hunter.
The Hunter pardon is incredibly broad. It covers everything from 2014 through 2024, even crimes that are still unknown. Usually, a pardon is for a specific crime on a. specific date.
The pardon angered people on both sides of the political aisle. The primary reason is that every time the President was asked, he answered he wouldn’t pardon Hunter. That turned out to be a Presidential lie.
I have to admit if my son was about to go to jail and I had the power to pardon him, promise or not, I wouldn’t let him go. But President Biden’s pardon of his son, Hunter, worsens things for him.
Since the Hunter scandal broke, the President claimed he had never met with any of Hunter’s business associates or discussed business with his son, like the non-pardon promise, which was a lie.
Hunter’s business cashed in on Joe’s political influence and went against America’s best interests or was illegal. Despite his claims to the contrary, Biden was significantly involved in Hunter’s business.
Pappa Joe was involved with many of the businesses described above. Two of the most famous were his enterprises in Ukraine and China:
V.P. Joe Biden managed U.S.-Ukrainian relations for the Obama administration. Hunter was invited to be on the board of Burisma Holdings despite knowing nothing about the industry. But
Some of the interesting points about Hunter, Joe, and Ukraine included
- The New York Post reported on an alleged email in which an adviser from a Ukrainian energy company, Burisma, thanked Hunter for inviting him to meet his father, Joe Biden.
- Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma sent over $3 million to American accounts tied to Hunter Biden.
- Hunter himself received a lot of cash from Burisma. According to the Government Accountability Institute, he was paid up to $83,333 monthly for his work at Burisma.
- Joe Biden bragged about pressuring Ukrainian officials to fire the prosecutor who oversaw an investigation of Burisma Holdings. The prosecutor was about to interview Hunter about Burisma’s financial transfers. Papa Joe threatened that the U.S. would withhold a billion dollars if the prosecutor wasn’t fired immediately.
- White House records show that on April 16, 2014, Devon Archer, Hunter’s partner, visited the White House privately to meet with Vice President Biden. Five days later, on April 21, V.P. Joe landed in Kyiv for a series of high-level meetings with Ukrainian officials.
These are only a few suspicious activities involving Joe and Hunter in Ukraine.

Hunter Biden’s China business may have received some conflict of interest-type help from his Vice President daddy. As revealed in Peter Schweizer’s book Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends
- In December 2013, Hunter traveled to Beijing aboard Air Force Two with his dad, VP Joe Biden. Ten days after Hunter and Joe’s trip, “Hunter’s company, Rosemont Seneca, became a partner in a new investment company backed by the state-owned Bank of China.” They called the new company Bohai Harvest RST (BHR).
- Representatives of the Biden family have denied any connection between the vice president’s visit and Hunter’s business. However, a BHR representative told The New Yorker earlier this year that Hunter used the opportunity to introduce his father to Chinese private equity executive Jonathan Li, who became CEO of BHR after the deal’s conclusion.

(…)In December 2014, BHR became an “anchor investor” in the IPO of China General Nuclear Power Company (CGN), a state-owned nuclear company involved in the development of nuclear reactors. Not only is CGN a strategically important company in China, it was also facing legal scrutiny in the United States. In 2016, CGN was charged with espionage by the Justice Department for stealing US nuclear secrets.
In 2015, BHR acquired Henniges Automotive, a Michigan-based producer of vibration-dampening equipment, alongside Chinese military contractor Aviation Industry Corp. of China (AVIC). Given the military applications of Henniges’ technology, the deal required federal approval . Like CGN, AVIC was suspected of stealing US technology for its purposes.
- Former Reagan advisor Roger Robinson claimed that China had played Obama and Biden ‘like a Stradivarius.’ A Memorandum of Understanding giving China access to U.S. financial markets happened the same year that Joe Biden and his son Hunter flew to China on Air Force 2.’
- In October 2020, Hunter Biden’s ex-business partner, Tony Bobulinski, spoke to the press before a Biden/Trump debate. As President of Hunter’s company in China, he accused Joe Biden of lying about his involvement in his family’s overseas dealings.
Bobulinski also explained that Hunter’s father, Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden, was involved and was an “eager participant in a family scheme to make millions of dollars by partnering with a shady Chinese Communist firm.”
He provided written evidence and further explanation to the NY Post. Bobulinski turned over all his backup evidence to the two Senate committees requesting it.
There’s much more to the China issue. And there are additional examples of Hunter using influence peddling to feed the Biden family business.
Any investigations into Hunter Biden’s foreign financial dealings and the extent of Pappa Joe’s in Hunter’s business will be bad for Joe.
Before the pardon, if Hunter was subpoenaed to testify at a hearing, he didn’t have to answer questions. Invoking the Fifth Amendment, he could refuse to answer any question that would incriminate himself. But with the pardon, Hunter can’t take the 5th because there’s nothing to incriminate.
Can Joe be prosecuted? Per the Supreme Court, only if his participation in Hunter’s business is not considered an “official act.” Just to make sure, will Joe pardon himself?
There is evidence that the President’s brother, James, was involved in Hunter’s influence-selling business. Will the President pardon James?
A list of pardons is released at the end of most presidential tenures. Generally hidden in the list are a few really controversial pardons. Will Joe and James be on the January 19th list? What other controversial names will be on Joe Biden’s list.
