The Secret Service was practically useless during the (thankfully) failed attempt against Donald Trump’s life, but even that meager protection would have been taken away if it were up to Democrats in the House of Representatives.
Nine House Democrats wanted to take away the Secret Service protection for Trump, leaving him completely at the will of would be assassins.
Granted the Secret Service was more like the Keystone Kops at Trump’s Pennsylvania rally and they almost got Trump killed. But Democrats didn’t even want that much protection for the former president.
These nine scumbags filed what they called the Denying Infinite Security and Government Resources Allocated toward Convicted and Extremely Dishonorable Former Protectees Act, or the DISGRACED Former Protectees Act. It would have amended the law to deny any candidate who has a criminal record from being eligible for SS protection.
The bill was filed by Rep. Bennie Thompson (D, MS)… the same Bernie Thompson who had to fire a staffer for wishing that Trump was killed by the assassin.
Eight Democratic Reps. cosponsored the bill: Troy Carter of Louisiana, Barbara Lee of California, Frederica Wilson of Florida, Yvette Clarke of New York, Bonnie Watson Coleman of New Jersey, Jasmine Crockett of Texas, Joyce Beatty of Ohio, and Steve Cohen of Tennessee.
Like all Democrats, these Democrats want Donald Trump murdered. Unlike most Democrats, these none actually tried to make it happen.
