For those who don’t remember or have never watched The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson,  because Minnesota’s Harold Stassen lost so many times, he was a regular target of Carson’s jokes. Therefore this award will go to politicians whose careers of losses were very special, just like Harold Stassen. In fact, these losers are so bad it’s embarrassing.

In a unanimous vote between me and my computer, the 2022 Midterm Stassen award winners were Beto O’Rourke, Stacey Abrams, and Charlie Crist.

About Harold Stassen

Stassen was the Governor of Minnesota for six years (three two-year terms) beginning in 1938. After those wins, he ran for the presidential nomination nine times: 1948, 1952, 1964, 1968, 1976, 1980, 1984, 1988, and 1992 and lost them all.

At the same time, he ran for seven other offices and lost all seven. Strangely three of those losses occurred in.

  • Governor of Minnesota 1982;
  • United States Senate twice (1978 and 1994 in Minnesota);
  • Governor of Pennsylvania twice (1958) and (1966)
  • Mayor of Philadelphia once (1959);
  • U.S. Representative (he was the Republican nominee against Bruce Vento of Minnesota in 1986].

His lifetime record was 3 wins and 16 losses. He would have been forced out long before his 16th loss if he was a boxer.

The awards will be given for presidential and midterm elections. The winners didn’t have a losing record as drastic as Mr. Stassen, but they all had a history of losses that may incite Johnny Carson to rise from the dead just to make them the butt of his joke.

Beto O’Rourke

Beto wins the award for the most diversified loser. He did win three elections for the House of Representatives in the house from 2012 to 2018. After he left congress in 2020, his political career went into the toilet. He ran for Senator, President, and Governor. Now that he lost the Governor race, the only things left are dog catcher and condo board treasurer.

After he left congress in 2020, Beto’s political career went into the toilet. He lost two state elections and one national contest.

O’ Rourke lost a campaign for the U.S. Senate against Ted Cruz in 2018, but his three percent loss to the incumbent gave Beto confidence to run for political office again. He ran for political office again. Beto ran for the Democratic Presidential nomination. No, really, it’s not a joke. This imbecile thinks he could be President.

Since then, Beto’s only impact on the country has been reminding people to visit their dentist.

Beto ran for Governor in 2022; at this point, it looks like he lost by eleven percent. Texas voters were sending Beto O’Rourke, a message originally written by William Shakespeare for his play As You Like It, I do desire we may be better strangers. It will be interesting to see if he listens.

Stacey Abrams.

The winner of the 2022, It’s Not My Fault Award is Stacey Abrams, the two-time loser from the state of Georgia. In the last midterm election (2018), ran for Governor against Brian Kemp. The turnout of Georgia voters was 1.4 million, higher than the previous election (21014). Kemp won the election by 50K voters. Before he ran for Governor, Kemp was Georgia’s Secretary of State. His responsibilities included overseeing voter registration and vote counting.

During his tenure, Georgia added a million more people to the voting rolls. The reason was SOS Kemp instituted an online voter registration program, But that didn’t sway the sore loser’s opinion. Because Abrams used her race as a straw dog, she insisted that Kemp didn’t win the election it was stolen through suppression. She held that opinion despite a study by the left-leaning Brookings Institute, which reported African-American voter turnout increased by 16% and Caucasian turnout rose by 11%. Stacy still hasn’t conceded the 2018 election.

In 2021 Georgia Passed a bill to overhaul elections in the state. Among other things, the bill required one of several forms of I.D. to go with mail-in ballots and added pre-election time for people to vote in person. Abrams and most woke politicians absolutely flipped out,  saying the bill was horribly racist. President  Biden, whose entire career was marked by his racism, slandered the bill as the “new confederacy” and “Jim Crow 2.0.

Because she wanted to be Governor while continuing to act racist by branding her fellow African Americans as too stupid to follow the same rules as  Caucasians. She ran against Kemp again.

A few days before the 2022 election, Abrams realized that she would lose by a much bigger margin than her first time, so Stacey came up with a new excuse. The Georgia Democrat didn’t blame voter suppression this time—it was the fault of gullible Black men.

If there is any racism involved in the last two Georgia governor’s contests, they came from the mouth of an anti-Black racist Stacey Yvonne Abrams.

Charlie Crist

Charlie Crist earned the Sybil Award in recognition of his multiple personalities.

Stassen may have lost more races, but Charlie Crist is the first American ever to lose three different state-wide elections representing three different parties. Republican, Independent, and Democrat. This guy switches parties almost as often as President Biden soils his underwear.

As a Republican, Crist ran for the U.S. Senate and lost in 1999. Crist served as the Republican Governor of Florida from 2007 to 2011,  He tried for the Senate again for the 2010 Republican primary. When he saw that Marco Rubio would beat him, Crist became an independent but still lost in the general election. Three years after he left the Governor’s office, Charlie became a Democrat and trashed  Republicans as racist because the voters preferred Latino Marco Rubio over caucasian Methodist Crist.

Charlie ran for the Governor’s office again in 2014. This time as a Democrat. But voters preferred Rick Scott over poor Charlie.

He finally won an election as a Democrat in 2016 when he ran to be the representative for Florida’s 13th Congressional district,  Crist remained in the house until the 2022 midterms. In that election, he ran for Governor as a Democrat again. He was blown out by incumbent Republican Ron DeSantis by 20%,

There is one more question left for Crist. Which party line will he run on next time?
