Not since Grover Cleveland’s second bifurcated term in 1894 has a president won the White House, then lost re-election, then won a second term with a four-year gap, but now Donald Trump has repeated Cleveland’s feat by winning a second term after losing re-election in 2020.

And this time Trump did so with margins large enough to defeat the Democrats’ usual efforts to steal the election with voter and election fraud. Unlike in 2020, Trump won the key battleground states with margins too big for the cheat to sway the end result.

Once the Keystone State of Pennsylvania was called for Donald Trump at around 1:30 a.m., it was clear that Kamala Harris had no path to victory. Very soon after winning Pennsylvania, he won Nevada, and that was enough for Trump to address his supporters.

President once again, Trump thanked the supporters gathered for his victory party, saying, “This was a movement like nobody’s ever seen before…This is the greatest political movement of all time.”

“It’s going to reach a new level of importance because we’re going to help our country heal,” Trump added.

“We made history for a reason tonight,” he said, calling this win the “most incredible political victory that our country has never seen before–nothing like this.”

“I want to thank the country for being elected your 47th president and your 45th president,” Trump said, adding that he will “fight for you with every breath in my body” and “this will be truly be a golden age for America.”

By 5:30 a.m., Wisconsin was finally called for Trump, leaving only Michigan and Arizona yet to be determined. But, the fact is Trump has won with 286 Electoral College votes so far (to Harris’ 226, with 26 to be determined). Michigan could still fall to Kamala, but it appears unlikely as the totals now have Trump in the lead 2,756,287 votes to Harris’ 2,664,865 votes. And Arizona is even stronger for Trump where the newly minted president leads with 1,156,579 votes to Harris’ 1,052,119 votes. So, most likely both Arizona and Michigan are in the Trump column.

Harris absolutely had to win all three states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania to win the White House… and she didn’t even get one of them.

And to cement his greatest presidential election comeback of all time, Trump will also win the popular vote, the first time a Republican has done that since George W. Bush’s second term (but not his first).

In other results, the Republicans have also kept every Senate seat they had for re-election and then even gained a few, meaning that the GOP now controls the upper chamber.

While we won’t know the outcome in the House of Representatives, it seems likely that the GOP will also take the lead there and keep their slim majority.

This has been an incredibly good night for Republicans.

Congratulations, America. You staved off utter destruction.
