Left-wing comedienne Sarah Silverman is now admitting that she has decided to stay out of politics, mainly because she has realized that Americans are sick of hearing entertainers blabber about it all.
Silverman admitted that she refrained from commenting too much about politics during this last 2024 election cycle, and told the Minnesota Star Tribune that she finally realized no one wants to hear from celebrities right now.
“A lot of people asked me if I was going to make a video or something. But my feeling was that no one wanted to hear from celebrities right now. Maybe I was wrong. I just focused on reposting thoughts from smarter people,” the normally radical leftist told the paper.
Still, she wishes she had done a bit more than she did.
“There is one thing I wish I had done. In 2008, I did something called the Great Schlep where I told young Jews to tell their grandparents they wouldn’t visit them again unless they voted for Obama. I should have done something like that again,” Silverman explained.
“Not that it would have made a difference,” she added.
This is not the first time Silverman has turned against politics.
She also admitted in 2021 that she had become wary about being tied so firmly to the left-wing Democrat Party and realized it would be better for her career if she wasn’t seen to be so biased.
“It’s so fucking elitist, you know, for something called progressive, it allows for zero progress. It’s all or nothing, no steps toward, all or fucking nothing. Again, righteousness porn,” she explained at that time.
“I’ve been thinking about this a lot, just in general,” Silverman said then. “I just, I don’t know that I want to be associated with any party. I really, I think I don’t want to be associated with any party anymore.”
Is she on the early edge of a trend in Hollywood. Are these arrogant creeps FINALLY starting to realize that no one cares to hear who they want us to vote for or what political ideology they want us to support?
Are they starting to get that we just want them to shut up and get back to their jobs of acting, singing, playing sports, and what have you?
