Showing, once again, the Britain is dead and is no longer a western nation, in the U.K. you can get heavily fiend and even sent to jail for religious “blasphemy” against Islam.
Twice this year already, British courts have punished Britons for daring to say something critical about Islam.
This month, Hamit Coskun, 50, who is an Armenian Kurd from Turkey was fined nearly $500 U.S. dollars because he burned a Koran outside the Turkish consulate in February.
Coskun has already become known for being arrested by dictator Bashar al-Assad in Syria for daring to create a documentary about how minorities are treated there. He spent 70 days in jail there being beaten and starved.
In February, he appeared in front of Turkey’s facility and yelled things like “F*** Islam” and “Islam is religion of terrorism” and “The Qu’ran is burning.” All of this is objectively true, of course. Despite uttering the truth, Cisoskun was arrested and tried under the UK’s defacto blasphemy law.
The Crown used to have a straight-out blasphemy law that was reserved for prosecuting people who would insult Anglicanism, what was once Britain’s state church. The last prosecution under that law was in 1977 and was held against a gay newspaper.
Since then, its former blasphemy law was nullified. But now there is a new one, and this one is only used to punish people who dare to insult Islam.
Like I said, Britain is now officially an Islamic state.
