Joe Biden told CNN’s Jake Tapper that one of his first acts will be to reduce the COVID pandemic by asking America to wear a mask for 100 days: Biden bogus wear mask claim.

“On the first day I’m inaugurated, I’m going to ask the public for 100 days to mask. Just 100 days to mask, not forever, just 100 days,” Biden said. “I think we’ll see a significant reduction.”

Biden previously said wearing a mask is a “patriotic duty” and shouldn’t be politicized. He left out the part that it was okay when he does it. Biden made wearing masks, especially President Trump’s mask-wearing, a campaign issue.

If all lawsuits fail, Biden will become POTUS on January 20th, 2021. One hundred days later will be April 29, 2021.  Cases of COVID should be way down by the end of April. With his mask announcement, Biden is setting himself up to take credit for a major drop in pandemic cases that should happen by April 29th, but it will have little to do with masks or Joe Biden.

Here’s the true reason the pandemic curve will have a major downturn by the end of April:

Both the Pfizer-BioNTech and the Moderna vaccines believe they will have emergency use approval (EUA) from the FDA within the next two weeks (the Pfizer vaccine has already been approved by Great Britain).

According to Alex Azar, Health and Human Services Secretary:

“We expect to have about 40 million doses of these two vaccines available for distribution pending FDA authorization — enough to vaccinate about 20 million of our most vulnerable Americans,” Azar said at a Nov. 18 press briefing. “And production of course would continue to ramp up after that.”

Moncef Slaoui, the chief science advisor for the White House’s Operation Warp Speed, told The Washington Post.

Moderna and Pfizer will likely supply between 60 million and 70 million doses by January, which would be enough for at least 30 million people since each one takes two rounds of doses, he said. After January, other vaccines could be added to that mix if authorized by the FDA, adding an additional 30 million and 50 million doses from other companies. Adding, “Very quickly we’ll start having more than 150 million doses a month in March, April, May,”

Based on the above, but only relying on Moderna and Pfizer, the two vaccines who have passed phase three testing and applied for EUA, Slaoui’s projection is that Moderna and Pfizer will deliver 270 million vaccine doses by the end of Biden’s 100 days. Those 270 doses will innoculate 135 million Americans (2 shots each). In other words, more than 40% of U.S. adults will be immune. Thus they will no longer be able to get or transmit the virus.

A jump of 40% of immune American adults will result in a drastic drop in COVID-19 cases–even if those newly immune adults refuse to wear a mask.

A drastic drop in U.S. CoronaVirus cases will happen between January 20th and April 29th, no matter who is inaugurated.  The reason for the drastic reduction will have very little to do with mask-wearing and everything to do with the President Trump-created “Operation Warp Speed.”

Note: I am not suggesting that people don’t wear masks before receiving the vaccine shots. Along with my wife and one of my kids, I have medical conditions that will substantially my body’s ability to fight COVID-19 should I contract the malady. Therefore my personal choice is to wear a mask until I can get a vaccine.  Per an interactive chart in the NY Times based on my personal risk profile, there are 23.0 million in the U.S. who will get the vaccine before me-but when I receive the shots I will report the news.
