Arkansas Republican Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders has a signed a bill that allows people to use gold as transactional currency in her state.
This is something that many people have been wanting to see for a long time, ever since FDR tried to take away everyone’s gold back before World War Two.
Sanders signed Arkansas HB 1918 into law only a few days after the state legislature in Little Rock passed the measure in a 33-0 vote.

A similar bill was passed in Utah, too, but Gov., Spencer Cox, vetoed it. Clearly Sanders was not in agreement with Cox’s stance on such a bill.
Arkansas is not the only state moving in this direction. Texas,. Oklahoma, and Kansas are also considering the idea.
